Hey guys, im planning to get a Vaio FW for myself and I have a few questions to ask.
1. Does the shop have stock or must i wait a few days
2. How's the product reliability(for those who own it). Im not bothered to get 2 years warranty but my dell XPS broke down after 18 months so I'm quite paranoid now.
3. Is there any special deals for this product now?

yea I know . It's damn disappointing. I bought for 4.7k smmore. Recently it was only 3k wth! I should've done research first. I checked online and found out there's a lot of problems with XPS. freakin. That's why I'm asking for you sony users feedback. I'm really tight on money so I want to make a right choice. I'm expecting the laptop to last 4years

as long as possible....

which FW will you buy? because some user here claim the low-end FW has worst screen quality. i haven't see the new FW in store, so i cant comment much on this. i suggest you spend some time playing with FW at sony style. test the screen, heat, and durability on the display model.

1. depend. some shop run out of stocks and you may need to wait until the stock arrive.
2. i dont have FW, but i do have the C series which is still working (VGN-C22GH) and am currently use Z series. the built quality satisfied me (from the material use on the notebook's body and the screen quality). again i highly recommend you go see and play the stuff you gonna buy at sony style.
3. no special deal currently.

Whats the difference between cw15 and cw16 other then the processor ? For cs got lots of difference between cs33 and cs36.

guys, im planning to get a vaio p series.. but from the review i read, it says that this netbook has a long boot time.. is it due to vista os the use? if i install XP or Win 7 will it be faster? btw i heard Sony will launch a new p series model.. kinda an upgrade from their previous P series.. any info on that?

Yup. Sony gonna launch new P with Win7 in the middle of November

Thanks. The nvidia g210 is good? I think g230 will be better since got more ram and 128 bit. The g210 is usable right? So is cw16 worth the extra bucks? Whats the offer for CW now? Whats the free gifts?

Yep...should be out in November with Win7 and 2GB RAM for both model.
Estimated street price as below :

P33 = RM2699
P35 = RM3699

BUT battery life still sucks at 2-3 hours only.

hey guys, question. None of the vaio models have problems with 64bit right? just grab the drivers of sony's website then can le right?

i m not sure whether Sony is using DHL service, becos the day when i sign up for upgrade campaing they have this column call status check,u just key in the application number. Lost the link already

IIRC, the G210 has better core speed, but the performance is severely limited by the low RAM and bus width but it is still usable nonetheless.

Some older models are running on old mainboard which is incompatible with 64bit operating system.

where can i get drivers? i looked thru sony singapore can't get any,

edit: i finally found them. I'm helping my friend do clean installation of win 7 on her lappy, how do i know which drivers are nessesary? cause i just went under download section.
