Long time never surface on this forum...have been hiding underwater all this while (read the posts and didn't make any comment on this forum).

All my GPs are fine and healthy as usual.....none are pregnant nor sick. No addition nor less.....still 15 of them.

Hahahah Juz~ why hiding and no post? Good to hear about your GPs~ so no upcoming pups? ^^
*
Every time visitors come to my house, they are amazed and curious with my GPs and my other pets. Quite a lot of people have never seen GP before, asking me what animals are they. Most of them find that my GPs are beautiful...because they are long hair. Every time I have to explain to them what GP's habitat is like.

I used my GPs' poo as holistic fertilizer for my garden flower plants. And I also planted own veg these days, I feed them with my home grown veg. Haha...I think my GPs are quite fortunate and pampered...they get to eat fresh veg daily. They don't really like to eat commercial hay...my hay stock took quite long to finish. I noticed that whenever I feed them hay, they still squeak asking for food non stop.

Last few days just swap their partners, hopefully can have some good news for the next few months.

Pumpkin is quite sweet, just don't feed too much, otherwise your GP will become obese and diabetic. wink.gif

It's myth..GP can live alone..not necessarily will die of loneliness.

It is very much depend on the GP's personality. Some are picky on its friend too.

is it ok to mix a new 1 month baby gp with my 2 10-months old gp.. all are females...

have been observing for the past 1 hour... dun seems ok to me as the baby gp keep kena bully...

the both elder gp are curious and keep smelling and show aggresiveness towards the smaller gp..

any suggestion?i dun wanna separate the smaller 1 and leave it alone by itself..
*
Usually it should be ok. But not 100% full proof statement. You still need to monitor them for the next 2 days. If you see the veteran bites the young one, then you have to separate them. I experienced one of my 1 female GP is really aggressive and likes to bully other and even bites them.

*
If you buy the set from Tesco/Careffour, it should come with the connectors. If you want to buy extra connectors, go Daiso and find.

i really want to buy this gp but need ur all advise. hehe.

im new about gp. what the first thing to do before & after i bought the gp.

hehe. tongue.gif
*
Buy the cage (ideally approx. 3' x 2.5') and the food bowl, 500 ml water bottle, guinea pig food pellets and hay, bathroom floor mat to lay on the base of the cage.

Most of all , read up the first page of this thread. All the info about guinea pig are posted there.

Yippy...my pregnant SOW given birth today, 3 healthy babies.....!!! Will post the picture later.

To determine the sex, check the 1st few pages of this thread, by looking at the picture can tell from the shape of its genital part especially at very young age (below 1 month old). Only can see the penis pop out after 1-2 months old.

Here are the babies picture. 2 babies are quite similar color (cream, latte brown and white) but A is red eyes and B is with black eyes. Another one is brown and black color. Still too young to determine the sex.

Definitely plan to sell...but now they are still too young, furthermore still hard to sex them accurately at this age. Have to wait till they are 3 weeks old.

Yes, as it was not fully dry yet, hence the blood stain still clearly visible.

yeah. i think should around 65++ something. i forget liao. hehe.

so just wanna ask. did gp bite if someone new like me want to touch it? or they dont bite? hehe/
*
GP usually don't bite. They will bite only when in fighting mode and you try to interrupt them. If I were to compare GP and Rabbit, GP is even more tame than rabbit.
