Ivermectin also can be taken orally oso.. my GPs once got mite prb and taken Iver orally to cure it.. i juz dunwan my gps to have a jab as my 1st gp died becoz of it..

for skin those flakes prb.. my gps are cured by using anti-fungus shampoo.. actually for dog.. but the vet recommend me to use as she use on her rabbit and still ok.. juz nid to dilute the shampoo.. so tat not so concentrated as GPs skin are not as thick as doggies..
omg.. i am feeding mine Hagen since they were bought..!! pls show some links c c... about the long term consumption.. really got bad effect?/

Yes, Hagen pellets don't contain good ingredients. If you want to switch to better brand you can go for Kaytee or Cavia Complete although in my opinion Oxbow is still the best. I used to buy it from Singapore but now its available in KL. smile.gif

Pet Lover at Sunway Piramid also got GP.. RM30 each..
Look healthy.. but 1 or 2 got eye injury... sad.gif
So better look carefully before you bought it..

I got my Ollie from PLC Sunway... but sadly he was still underage and I just realize on I bought him back.. He was just about 2-3 weeks when I got him back?? It's sad but eventhough they have lots of choice and nice color but it wont harm if those who wants to buy GP from there takes ur time. Don't simply go there see and buy... I had stalk PLC for few days before I decided to bring home Ollie.. I thought he looks healthy cuz nothing wrong with him.. but facts has teach me that there's a thing you can assume when u just saw the Gp from its outlook...

Sometimes I will too drop by to PLC to see what colors they have but to bring back one home again I guess it's not the time yet sad.gif

For those who's new and never saw my GP before here they are :

1st pic is Olympic aka Ollie
2nd & 3rd pic is Abby/Mika

Both are abby type and miss them....

I'm still compiling the proper links showing that Hagen pellets is not so good. But i still can't find the link where there was a story where a GP died of eating excessive hagen pellets cry.gif Those who are still on Hagen, don't fret.. you can slowly change.. Refer to my first post and read what kind of Quality pellets you should find. Not trying to promote or what sort, but Oxbow has gotten a lot of good feedbacks. It might be expensive, but at least we know what we feeding them is safe.. Take time to read the ingredients of the pellets when buying.

I made a mistake by judging that Hagen was a really good GP pellet the last time sad.gif coz i dint bother reading all of the ingredients. I just jumped to conclusion that it was a good brand since a lot of people are on it. But after a while, after reading many forums in the overseas... i see that MANY strongly Recommend NOT feeding Hagen.. and that is where my research began ><

anyways will try to post the links up asap.. im currently really tied up with deadlines XD

Thanks Jacklene. I started to panic just now...wondering should I continue feeding them or not...what I am pretty sure is going to make a cage like a member here....it is really cool...how come in a pair sure one of it will bully the weaker one? mine they took turn to teasing each other....they was chasing around the cage until my bf's dog barking at them to stop...aggressive piggies...My gps likes to scare the babysitter always do that when I am not around...they will wheek and chasing around. When calm them down they will start to purring...then one of them will just lying down for you to massage the body...amboi sedap la tu~~

WHen I bought my 2 girls, they used to fight also. The bigger one always chase and bully the smaller sized one. It got quite bad at one point. Later on I upgrade their cage to a bigger one (C&C Cage) and they stopped fighting. I guess it was more of a space issue. The bigger one doesnt want to share her space.
