For those interested in Sparkmanshop, a hint: Get your own cloth and tailor made it there. Way cheaper that way.

Salience, if you're eating Malaysian food for lunch and plan to roll up your sleeves often, cufflinks may be an issue. How have you found them so far?

well,

i take out my cufflinks and fold my sleeves like normal shirts
that's what i can do smile.gif

at the end of the day, after a hot day out of office, i might not even roll down my sleeves again and just leave the cufflinks out

but i usually wear cufflinks on a day with an important meeting and not everyday so it's fine by me

smile.gif

sometimes when i wear it at the desk, it can also be a sad bother to typingwhen u move ur hands left and right going through a keyboard or document

shucks

i'm quite surprised that there's still a lot of perception that cufflinks are for bosses and still a lot of people are clueless to what french cuffs are tongue.gif

i am wearing them on daily basis and yes, most people still regard cufflinks as the ornamental accessories for the wealthy but the true fact is, they are not.

phew manage to dig back cufflinks thread. I was way back page page 7 smile.gif

Alright, here goes, i was hunting for a nice and affordable cufflinks, therefore saw this shop at 1U Cuffz [Salience posted back in page 1]
I would like to get more information for this place.
Saw most of the cufflinks range from rm139.9 is this suppose to be this price?
How is the cufflinks there reliable? will it get oxidize easily?
user posted image

Any other place where they have huge range of varieties for cufflinks?

Thanks

If I wanted to, I can make my own MOP cufflinks for less than RM20. Buy 4 MOP buttons, then link them in pairs with thread or copper wire...In fact I might just do it if I had any French cuffed shirts (which I don't)...

I have one French cuff shirt. I feel the cuffs are too big and flappy and just not 'me'. Ironically the French head of an automobile regional office here has French cuffs which are small and less flappy than the ones seen here. I must photograph it someday.

I will probably go for a notched or radiused double button barrel cuff for my next tailored shirt.

True. You need a bespoke French cuff. RTWs are humongous.

I have always avoided French cuffs because the only guy I saw wearing one was this pretentious prick who talks too fast and who kept telling everyone where he works (StanChart).

But in my new workplace, one of my bosses wears these occasionally. Without a jacket, too. So since I have too many light blue shirts already, I'm thinking of turning one of my Alumo cloths into a FC shirt. This will be my first.

But for that, I needed cufflinks. Ones with charm. Off I went trawling eBay.

These are really old sterling silver pieces, made in Birmingham. But I have more to say about this later.

The same seller also lists a locket with a very similar engraving. I think both the locket and the cufflinks come from the same jeweller.

You should bring some flowers to the deceased person's grave before wearing them.

The Tan Sri warned me about that, but I remember Will Boelke demonstrating in a video how to put in exactly these difficult cufflinks.
