I have developed a new found love for cuff-based items and would like to take my interest into discussion to foster new understanding about it.

I have started with a humble 6 shirts from CUFFZ (1U & Bangsar V2) and cufflinks from smalto and some various brands from both Parkson Pavillion and Tangs; although the cufflinks at cuffs are priced higher it's still really nice.

Anyone with experiences can introduce new brands of cufflink shirts and nice cufflink designs? hopefully any with premium cotton/ egyptian cotton or 2ply high quality cotton ? tongue.gif

Regards!

yea saw that link. would like to know whether there's more information on french cuffed shirts and cuflfinks.

honestly raoul cuflfinks are so costly. at 200 bucks; and actually other brands like smalto and unknowns sell the exact same designs at a fraction. honest truth!

i think french cuffed shirts look best when they are the contrast-collared and contrast-cuffed type dress shirts. paired together with good cufflinks, it really makes a man stand out.
an example would be something like this:

i really like those type of shirts, seriously makes you look cool and makes you stand out from the crowd. here in malaysia, the most common one would be the blue coloured shirt with a white collar and white french cuffs. the blue color is definitely smart-looking esp. darker blue.
so anybody here wears contrast-collared, white collar & white french cuff shirts? what colors do you have for ur dress shirts?

cufflinks go well for any occasion IMHO tongue.gif

james bond can pull it off tongue.gif but anyhow, DAMN. the new promotion at CUFFZ isn't as attractive as the previous buy 4 for RM500.

anyone can recommend good places to pick up french cuffed shirts?

Try Thomas Pink and Alain Figaret, if your wallet allows you to do so. flex.gif nod.gif

I think Raoul is overpriced for a local brand. For RM300, I might as well get a shirt tailor made. Agree?

It means the interlining in collars and cuffs are glued to the fabric rather than sewn in traditionally. As time goes by with frequent ironing and laundering the shirt, collars and cuffs tend to go out of shape. However this method is widely used even on high end shirtmakers due to the low cost of fusing material.

You have my full support, sir. With that price, you should be able to get a tailor-made 2 ply 100 or better shirt.

yes Raoul is a brand from Singapore though their fabrics are european. anyway i agree, for the price, it's good to tailor instead.

last month's cuffz offer was good... 4 shirts for RM499. some of their shirts even have split yokes.

raoul is overpriced.
i love cuffz and their previous promo was so good. as lanatir said. me and a fren grabbed 12 shirts in total, 6 each tongue.gif

if my wallet allows it i'm going for ST Dupont already tongue.gif

tangs has heaps of cufflinks at a variety of pricing and so far so good

Thomas Pink and Alain Figaret -> what is the indication of prices for their products?
if possible, looking for competitive priced shirts on par with cuffz. around rm150 per pc would be really good.

their current promo of rm400 for 2 shirts and 1 set off cufflinks is quite expensive. or 1 silk tie + 1 cufflink = rm200,.
but of course there is a limit price on the cufflinks entitled in the promotion.
i'm not too sure exactly what that limit is
