i see singapore nokia website for e72, they get all 3 colors and confirm also they have e71 red there. why malaysia doesnt get the variety? singapore is bigger market than malaysia? i dunt think so.... so sad.

Ya singapore hav a bigger phone market.. They chg phone more often than v do.. Well since red e71 is in the malaysia nokia website.. Maybe u can go to ur nearest nokia centre demand them to order 1 for u.. I think able de la. Jus tat the price will be slightly higher..

if nokia malaysia didn't bring in the model or the colour, so that is no way to get the official unit, only way is buy the AP set or oversea unit.

i got a question. I received a sms from an unsaved number. After saving the number, why is it that the inbox still display the mobile number instead of the name that i saved?

the system is like this, nothing you can do.. received msg from unsaved number, you will no way to make it show in name again..

Got another query here, sometimes when i press the 'menu' button of my phone, it just hangs and doesnt go into the menu, i can click on the other icons on the home menu and i can make calls and sms, but i can't get into the menu, wondering if its a software problem or is it just my phone that is acting up. Hmmm..i read across this issue in net, but this doesn't appear to me.
but my suggestion is u check yr FW by keyin *#0000#, then is the firm FW is at V100 / V110, then i think u can consider upgrade it..

There is a home button on our e71 as well try tweaking ur button short cut .. Hope it help

That seems to be the solution to the problem from the other E71 forums that i read, something to do with the 2secs delay btw buttons which the left menu button does not have, have just changed it to another shortcut and hoping that it works. Thanks guys.

They have higher turnover rate for phone ownership? I am there for a week and they have all these great phones like omnia, magic, htc phones going at very cheap rates or even free if you sign up plans with them with 2 years contract.
i asked my singaporean collegues, they rather go with these plans and get a free phone, so some of them actually keep phones for 2 years or more according to their plan.
i think malaysians change more often since we are not tied to any plans

I have even personally emailed NOKIA and ask for the availability and they said it is only for European market which is very misleading since they made it avaliable on their website.

I havent been to lowyat for a while but ive been asking for this color since february for even AP sets but no shops brought it in.

It is actually very attractive color, its not solid red, but metallic red. very attractive.

but anyway thanks for your info that it is now availabe at low yat shops.. will go down there.

Anyway what are the keypress codes to check the imei number matching with the one of the box and also talk time?
