Hi afai. Did you u used the software on the CD or you downloaded it fro Nokia website? For the uninstallation process, after you'd removed it through the Window Control panel, try to look for the Nokia folder at the program files. Delete that folder off completely, and try to re-install back. Hope this would help.

I've just got mine too, a transition from E51-->>E61 (going back to old skool smile.gif)-->> E71  biggrin.gif
*
i used the software on the CD. try the method u mentioned, still prompt me the same message - "invalide username & password"

Previously the synchronisation process was very smooth, then suddenly it become like this. sigh... don't know what went wrong.

anyone encountered this before? what will be the solution then? million thanks.

Hmm, I try to look around bro...from my experience, the pc had never prompt to give username and password...maybe there are some incompatibilities...if I managed to find it, i'll post it here.

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my Nokia E71.

I recently bought a 8gb MicroSDHC card for my E71. The problem is, everytime I the card is in the phone, I cannot access the my contacts via the 1 touch key and through the main menu. But when I remove the card, it works fine.

There is no difference in the speed of the phone when the memory card is in or out of the phone, so I really do not know what the problem is.

Would appreciate if someone could help me out. Thanks in advance.

I've uninstalled Garmin, and using energy profiler, the average is 0.14W...

Suggestions?
*
I'm not sure if there's any more things to tweak, but mine is also average 0.14-0.17W now, and it last me a total of 6 days with few calls and surfing. So i think urs will be ok. Provide u have ori battery.

Shortage of stocks. I see. Is it due to the upcoming E72 so they are clearing the last few units?

My dad bought it last week for Rm1300 + 4Gb San disk + UV screen protector and Nokia original car charger. The phone alone is Rm1180.
*
Well i think u did alot on the search b4 buying. It's a wise choice and yr dad unit i think it's a good deal for an ori set. With car charger and 4GB disk.

(Still regreting of the AP set i bought doh.gif )

Added on August 19, 2009, 12:27 pmGuy, i see many of u want to be listed in the E71 list, so what's the benefit? it's just for display?

i wanted to ask about E71 theme, there's few problem about installing theme from website. I'll quote theme from Zedge.
Once DL the theme, i install via PC suite / copy to phone. it'll popup certificate problem, solve it by "switch to All" in the installation option. But after that will popup it's not compatible??
and for those that's smooth installation..the wallpaper always seem to be "draged". Maybe our E71 screen is 320 x 240 and not 240 x 320? rclxub.gif

in Nokia Energy Profiler. with my consumption at 0.06 it shows the countdown timer for battery is 120 hours. that means about 5 days.

if yours is 0.14, how does it last 6 days? if my tsrautostart.exe is running and my consumption at 0.14, the countdown timer for battery is around 50+ hours.

I only come out an explaination like below:

1) The 0.14W consumption is when i check with energy profiler, the backlight is on, so i assume when in standby mode (backlight off with only breating light) it'll be like wht u said +- 0.05W.

2) The energy profiler is an "estimation" software where it changes with the software u opened.

3) Within the days i just made a few calls (5 min per call) plus sms (around 10), listen music 1-2times in total (30min), set alarm every day. (Tht's my usage after changing the bat)

4) My calculation of 6 days = Thursday morning 9AM unplug changer, last till Tuesday night 10pm 1time warning low bat then charge it. (Thursday - Tuesday = 6 days) but if u calculate in total of 24hrs = 1 day then it's 5 1/2 days

Added on August 19, 2009, 6:43 pmHi bros, i encounter a problem with AP set. Which i'm seeking a better solution. My E71 is AP set, so if i update the firmware according to the "product code" it'll read in the web as Europe version and give me a "Non -chinese" version firmware with only Eng, French, portugese.. and etc language support.

But what i need is a firmware of Asia pacific where it supports Eng, Chi simplified, Malay..(Can read and key chi)
So how and what is the best way to do a firmware upgrade for AP set?
I heard of tweaking with the product code. but am not sure about it and i don't feel like going back to the tech supplier as they not that friendly and don't care much. sad.gif
So that's why i ask above how on upgrading the firmware ...

Well i would say yes.. By using NSS .. Change ur product code to those of asian and u will get u chinese input and output.. I also running on europe firmware.. Mine jus got chinese output after some tweaking.. I choose not to chg my product code to asian bcos my keypad is with symbols .. I find it helpful.. But if i chg to asian product code my keypad will go haywire .. So i jus stick with mine product code which till now still firmware version 200.

trust me, i know how irritating it gets. but theres no way to get rid of it. this only happens when u are below 3G, because you cannot have data and voice at the same time.

if you are on 3G and above, then you won't get this pop-up.

just change your connection setting for your email.

you can either cahnge it to Always ask, or you can select whichever connection you want as your primary.

which email are you using? the built-in email app or Nokia Messaging, or emoze?

Hmm...bro xavi, what tweaking did u applied? i seem to search the uncle google b4, but didn't get any good result and i tried to DL the HK version firmware but fail..cause i dunno it must tally with product code at the time. Mind share what software u use and yr E71 got symbol means? got chi wording?

bro,

like this means your average consumption is not 0.14w la. you need to leave your Nokia Energy Profiler in standby mode and let it run for 5 minutes. then you can see your average consumption, should be 0.0x only. if mine with backlight on, already 0.17w - 0.20w, but in standby mode it's 0.05w - 0.07w

and yes, i know the energy profiler is an estimation. but if you're saying your average is 0.14w and the standby hours on my phone at 0.14w with yours is almost 3-4 days difference, then something is really wrong with nokia energy profiler's estimation.
