iTunes store does not support in Malaysia. For game purchase, you should use AppsStore intead of iTunes store.

hi.. actually want to share some other solution for itunes 8.2 downgrade to 8.1.1..

The instructions posted were designed for Mac computers ( work in window as well) . Here's the Vista version:

1. Remove all iTunes-related Software
Go to your Control Panel and open Programs & Features
Remove the following:
-Apple Mobile Device Support
-Apple Software Update
-Bonjour
-iPod for Windows (it's OK if this doesn't exist)
-iTunes
-QuickTime

2. Make sure they're completely removed
Go to Computer > C: > Program Files
Delete these folders:
-Apple Software Update
-Bonjour
-iPod
-iTunes
-QuickTime
If any or all of these folders don't exist, it's a good thing.

3. Delete supporting documents
Open up Computer
Go to your Organize menu at the top and select Folder and Search Options
Click the View button
Choose the round option button to "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and then click Apply, then OK
Go to C: > Users > your username > AppData
Delete the folder called "Apple Computer"
Go to C: > Users > your username > Local > AppData
Delete the folders called "Apple" and "Apple Computer"

4. Prepare your library data files
Go to your Music folder and open up the iTunes folder inside it
Move the following files to your desktop:
-iTunes Library.itl
-iTunes Music Library.xml
-iTunes Library Extras.itdb
-iTunes Library Genius.itdb

5. Restart your computer

6. Download & install iTunes 8.1.1
http://download.oldapps.com/iTunes/iTunesSetup811.exe
-Click the "Download" button

7. Open up iTunes. It will walk you through the setup/configuration process. Make sure that you UNcheck the options to add media (MP3, WMA, AAC) files. Your library should be empty. Click your File menu and choose Import. Select the file "iTunes Music Library.xml" ( if cannot also nvm just create a new playlist) that was placed on your desktop in Step 4. This should put your library and playlists back together for you.

then it should be work perfectly with 8.1.1 itunes

Those paid application is from iTune or 3rd party application?
If from iTune, dont worried, u can just download it again from iTune (must login ur account).
For 3rd party application, i am no sure because as i know, most of the application will ask ur iphone serial number when u make the purchase and based on ur iphone serial number it will generate the key to unlock the third party application which mean the key u get cannot be use in other iphone.
Please correct me if i am wrong.

i've been using my ipod touch account in my itunes...
recently i bought an iphone...and when i first plugged it in, a pop up ask me whether to recognize as a new device or backup from old account (something like that, i dont quite remember)...so i clicked on the backup from old account thing...and now both my ipod touch and iphone is using the same account (meaning have the same application and stuffs)....
How do i seperate them both?

well in a nutshell, you cannot separate them manually.

so either you perform a clean "restore" on the iPod Touch or iPhone.

I realise that kLiteCodec pack is the one that is killing my iTunes. No idea why. After uninstalling it and reinstall my iTunes it works fine now.

which iTunes AppStore do you guys use to get your apps?

when i was in Singapore i was using the Singapore one, but now that i'm back in KL i switched to the Malaysia one. find that somehow Malaysia one is missing some apps that i could get in the Singapore store.

& on my recent sync, my App Store now shows i have 2 updates as does the iTunes on my PC. but when i try to update iTunes shows me that there are no updates available. blink.gif

Asking for help from all the Mac experts here!
Planning to switch to a Mac soon, am using an Acer PC now. However i was wondering if there is any way in which i can copy my entire iTunes files (including all music, vidoes, apps, podcasts, settings...) to a new computer? Have been looking through the net but most only offer tips to move the music library. And i also understand that i would have to resync my iPod/iPhone to the new computer which would result in a wipe. Any way i can avoid this?
Any advise/help/link will be greatly appreciated! smile.gif

Erm, it'd be better if you state how are you going to transfer all ur other files so we can think of different ways to do this. Anyway, let me assume you're gonna take out the PC's hard disk, put it into an external hard drive casing, and plug it in ur USB port. If that's the case, in iTunes (Mac) go to File > Add to Library... and select ur music folder in the external. I'm not sure about settings though.

Sorry, can't help about the iPod/iPhone part since I don't know how iTunes handles backups on a PC

makes no difference. you have to initiate the self "deauthorisation" yourself before attempting an OS restore/installation.

if your theory actually holds, it means that my macbook pro will currently have 3 authorised iTunes accounts on it? despite being the SAME computer?
