Most likely he didn't undervolt and the set was left on the whole day and night. It does run a little toasty since AMD is notorious for overvolting their CPUs. If anyone from HP is reading this, please consider pre-installing RightMark CPU Clock Utility and set the base volt to 0.6750v. (I had mine set to one notch lower.)

With undervolting not only is the set whisper quiet, it runs for 4 hours long on continuous wifi, and maintains a core temp of 35C and GPU temp of 55C. I wish the GPU could be underclocked but sadly, it can't be done.

Core temp isn't a problem with this set, it's the graphics that I suspect would melt down the set.

After the volt tweaking, the core temp when playing a game like GTA IV is at a relatively cool 50C, but the graphics totally shoots through the roof, hitting the mid 70s. If any of you are familiar with CQ40 that comes with AMD X2 and HD 3450, let me know if your graphics temp is about the same as this DV2.

Oh, BTW, I haven't bought a cooling pad yet... *worried looks*
