hi all, i have just bought a dv2 but i am having some doubts on the laptop:

1. the sound only coming out from the left side of the speaker but not the right. Any other user experience the same thing or my speaker is faulty.
2. the laptop is freaking hot and my system is delaying for few seconds to respond. I m suspecting the hardisk is over heated.

Any other owner can share the experience. Thank you.

This model is quite new, so i think there only few users around...

Still got warranty, so send over to HP Services Center

For the hot issue, have you tried using a Cooler Pad with the dv2?? Maybe the laptop is normally hot..

it's hot as 1 of my client using it. as usual i will suggest them to carry cooler around but again. wat's the point of getting such 12" and 1.8kg devices where u need to carry a cooler. this is wat they told me.

it's not the cooler.... actually where u rest ya palm when u typing that area generated most of the heat.

my HP mini 2133 Via processor already consider hot. and it's hotter than 2133.

this is what i concern earlier about AMD processor with dedicated GC which will generate heat fast.

I was looking at this model too, but then decided to get the Compaq 12" instead coz I wan the DVD drive built-in. Both was on display next to each other.

Having problems so soon after pcfair is scary. sweat.gif For the Compaq, the part where you rest your wrist while typing is just a little bit warm.
