Just check with you guys if any of you experienced WIFI issue while MBA with lid closed connecting to an external display. Initially I thought its the OS issue so I formatted and restored via Time Machine, everything is working fine for a couple of days until this morning. It just stopped working
When I use the native MacOS, this issues comes out unless I disconnected it from the monitor. If I use Windows bootcamp on the same unit, it turns out alright with the same setup. Again |

Hi all,
My father's Macbook Air 13 inch has this really weird issue: 1. When using half way, the apple low battery indicator randomly came out and the macbook is off. 2. Plug in the power to the macbook and turn it on no problem 3. Immediately check the battery indicator in the OS, it show there is still alot of battery left (Example: 80%). 3. Plug out the power, use a while still can use, then it repeats the same issue from 1 to 4 I did checked the battery health in the battery information, everything looks good. Only started recently, any advice? This post has been edited by vernon91: Jul 21 2018, 12:55 AM |

You need to send in for check. Could be the DC-in board or related component.

Hi all, where can one find a good 3rd-party battery for a 2011 Macbook Pro?
I got one in 2016 from a fellow forummer here, but after almost 2 years, the battery is now slightly bulged, alongside with several other issues. Seller insisted it was a ori battery, and while I'm skeptical now, I wasn't at the time I got the battery. So yeah, thinking of getting a replacement battery. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Battery bulge is pretty common. Even Apple can’t guarantee you the battery won’t bulge up over time. So, doesn’t matter they are original or 3rd party, so long they are lithium polymer, there are chances of bulging over wear and tear.
There are no more original battery for 2011 model as it is already listed as vintage model by Apple. Being so Apple will not longer provide parts and most support for such model. You can still find plenty battery supply locally. Just be vary with those that cheaply made and weight drastically lighter than original. |

Read the review.Read the feedback. Do your research.
Not sure you can ship battery tru postage. Especially airline. They might force you to use courier like DHL /FEDex which the shipping will cost as much/ more than the battery. |

QUOTE(wei @ Aug 13 2018, 11:08 AM) Read the review.Read the feedback. Do your research. Hi Wei, thanks for answering all my questions on the thread. Just wanna know if you sell Macbook Pro batteries or if you know of a trusted place to look for it? Since you run a Mac repair business. Not sure you can ship battery tru postage. Especially airline. They might force you to use courier like DHL /FEDex which the shipping will cost as much/ more than the battery. I've googled it and all I find are mostly lelong.com.my results. The reviews there are usually quite pointless, and they don't talk about things like weight and build quality of the batteries. What are the criteria that I should look for then? Does these 2 options seem trustable? http://www.laptopspecialist.com.my/index.p...roducts_id=5334 . https://www.lelong.com.my/ori-original-appl...9-05-Sale-P.htm . Thanks. I hope you could help me here since you seem like the most knowledgeable Mac user here. |

I just found out a piece of the screen gasket from my Macbook Pro 13" tb (late 2016) " chipped off " at the top near the camera. I have no idea how it happened and when

hi sifusss, I'm using Mac Pro early 2015 model, the left corner of my screen coating seems to peel off, I only using water and cloth to clean my screen so far. Did a little bit of research and seems that it's an issue and Apple is offering replacement/fix for customers who encounter this issue. Anyone has experience regard this issue?
Any input is greatly appreciated |
