Hi!

Today I was putting my macbook back in my sleeve and bag, after using it all day. I noticed that, when totally vertical, the lid was falling open for about 1 cm. Not far enough to get out of sleep though, luckily!
It's the left top corner of my macbook where the magnet is not working. Is it possible that it has died or something?

I'm having bootcamp today and tomorrow, so I can start working in the macshop thursday, but I'm not "genius" enough to know what it is

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I owned a MBP 2008 late versions, recently i have a 19 pixel long line at the bottom right of my Screen. Just a quick question if anyone encounter this before and how long it takes for it to be repaired it's still within the warranty period? coz MBP sort of my working horse without it is like without an office.

My experience, if service center have ready stock (which very unlikely) will take <1 week. If no stock, should be >1 week or more depends on the shipment. Always send to service center, not retailers.

this is tricky, you have try:

backup your entire userfolder/Library/Mail to somewhere safe first

1) backup/move your userfolder/Library/Mail/XXX@hotmail.com@XXXX folder to somewhere else.

try start mail.

2) move your entire userfolder/Library/Mail to somewhere else and try start mail.

Once you got Mail started, you have to re-import or try replacing items from the old Mail folder in batches to see which causing the crash. When you replacing, quit Mail first.

there are 2 screws you need to tighten a bit. it can be found when you remove the battery.

I dont know where i should post this, and if it's at the wrong section please let me know.

Anyway, i updated my one month old macbook earlier today and shut it down after the download and updates. I turn it on a while a go, and used safari, and then, it started beeping, three short and one long beep. kept going on and on.

anyone one how to solve it or at least whats wrong with it? i closed safari and it seem to be fine now. but i read that it might be related to the RAM. Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

1. I have problems with my Macbook's Help feature. Sometimes when I type something in the Search box, it'll freeze and then looks like Help restarts itself. It doesn't affect my Macbook or other programs, it's just annoying coz it doesn't open the Help window at all, it just freezed and then terminated & restarted itself.

2. Another question, if using Macbook on the bed is not good for air circulation, then is there anything I can use to support my Macbook when I'm using it on my bed? Like a notebook cooler for Macbooks or something?

3. Is there any ways to avoid ants from entering my Macbook? They LOVE to walk into the keypad. Is it because of the heat from my Macbook attracting them?

I'm using the new Macbook 13" aluminium body.

Hi peeps,

I have a black macbook that is over a year old. Lately I've discovered that it will not fully charge to 100%...only charges itself to 99%. A press of the battery button on the battery itself shows that all the lights are lit green which I think shows that it is ok. I've also drained the battery and recharge it fully.

Any idea why it does not charge to 100%? Thanks icon_rolleyes.gif
