I dont think they cared where you came out studying acca. In fact the less prestigious the centre its better since it proves you can thrive even under such measly environment. Like in my firm, I am like the very very few of acca graduates "not" from sunway. Funny thing is that I get higher recognition from them cos like self study kind of thing. tongue.gif . They called me a "nomad", is there such term in sunway ? tongue.gif

Your result slip (bcos got marks unlike degree) will be paramount to certain companies. Some companies like prize winners. Some want consistencies (straight pass ?). Some want passing at a very early age ?.

It all boils down "Where" & "What"
Where : Size of company does matter. Unless your parent owns the company.
What : Type of company. if you are applying to non-accounting jobs with acca, it will be a lot harder than an accounting degree like management associate position. Harder but possible.

I have deep respect for those who self study but still pass.

No not really, its just that a "perception". For acca its not about "institute" but more to lecturers.
If you want a flexible and an environment which allows you independence to study, its better to each lecturers independently. Which is why my acca life is fantastic. I played more than study anyway. And I dont mind the least when friends or relatives ask where I study (no kiasu issue there). But for certain people, its a major issue so not everyone can adapt to it. I am sure there are some relatives eagerly waiting to display their "star child" whenever the issue of education is brought up. I faced a torrent of it whenever CNY approaches.

If you want a consistent and good environment to study then you can consider sticking to one college or uni which is easier and comfortable. Less hectic too, but since they want extra publicity cos their KPI depends on it, do expect they will grind you for performance. For those who thrive under pressure this is a good place to go. Another thing is that most reputable college or uni will have some affiliation with certain organizations so its a but "easier" for them to apply. (yep big 4 included).

Hi... Can anyone answer my questions?

1. If i am working as account assistant in shipping company, can it be treated as working experience and fill in the PER form?

2. Is it need to get the consent/signature from my boss for completing the PER form to make clearance that how many months i worked during the year?

3. If my boss is account executive, can she make clearance in my PER form?

Thanks in advance for any replies... thanks alot...
