I suggest using Skool brand. Its not really branded but its easy to find and its good quality. So far for mine no scratches...

But before you buy, try finding the Special Edition one that comes with both the screen + camera lens. You can find them for about RM6 a set. If you go lowyat plaza for sure they will charge u quite high for it cos for the normal one last time I bought also they charge me RM10.

You should check the firmware at the shop itself and make sure its v20 and you're good to go. The phone works out of the box unlike iPhone need to jailbreak la... this la that la..

No need but certain softwares need to be signed before using... you will learn more about that as you use the phone.

Haha aspire doesn't believe you at first because a lot of people are quite disappointed by the tube's camera so the thought that the tube can take good photos a bit hard to believe... but no worries, I know its legit because I have managed to take quite good shots with my tube also.. anyway good job done

I've not done any hacking for my tube because I have my own dev cert which can be used to sign all apps. I mean, once you get your dev cert you don't have to hack your phone...
And anyway also if you hack your phone, it voids the warranty which is not something I would like to risk... not at least till my tube is 1 years old.

Go to Settings > Routing > Turn Preview > Disable.

That should fix most of the crashing. If further than that I think you have not installed Garmin properly.

I've just watched the video that crazyfreak posted... actually the tutorial is to install HellOx which I think some of you should know about it by now..

What it does is basically hack your phone's installserver.exe to allow you to install apps without having to sign them.. but anyway you don't really need to use this hack because

1) Once you get your own dev cert you can sign all the apps on your own PC and it takes less than 5 seconds...
2) One of Symbian's security features (why you don't need to install an antivirus) is because all the apps/.exe to be installed needs to be signed before installing so basically it is a security feature which will be removed once you hack you phone...

So yea.. no point to use HellOx

Its not really the DIGI file that has the chinese... its in both the first two fonts (s60sc_c and s60tchk_c) . The DIGI file is for the digital characters you see on your calculator. To get Chinese font support you need to merge your custom font with the first two fonts. Mind you once again I am saying this,

s60sc_c.ttf
and
s60tchk_c.ttf

are two different files... in fact if you have a font editor you can open both the original files and see what is inside and you will understand..

I am currently using SoundMagic PL-30... seriously... it is way beyond my expectation. I'm so in love with them right now. Maybe if got gathering we can bring our IEM and compare. I would like to test the Bijou or X3i

Actually... the credit is only a few cents.. I rather spend the few cents to get a few seconds lock than to waste minutes of my battery and precious time.. I have tried once without A-GPS I waited 10 minutes still cannot lock. In the end I fed up just switch it on and within 5 seconds it locks

There is no 'best' earphone that suit with the tube but there may be a 'best' earphone that suit you.

As you can see some of us are using Creative EP-630, some using Crossroads Bijou 3, some using Crossroads X3i, some using a Bose (such as tunertoobe )... I myself I am using a SoundMagic PL-30.

Basically there are so many models out there.. just that you need to find one that suites your taste in music. Because some people like vocals... some people like more bass... some people like more instrumental.. and all those earphones I mentioned above plays the different types of songs... differently




Btw, someone from Dailymobile.se suggested that if only we can extract the Divx codec from Omnia HD, we can play DivX on our tube. because the Omnia HD plays DivX thru the RealPlayer.. and Omnia HD is also using s60v5 so basically it definitely will be compatible with the tube (as can be seen we can play divx thru iSmartmovie so basically its just the codec issue and not a hardware issue)

I found the WMA/WMV codec in our tube's Z drive and I bet if someone installs Y-browser on an OMNIA HD, he can extract the divx codec

When u press the memory card, it ejects a bit right? U need to use a cloth or tissue paper to get a firm grip on it then u wiggle it left right left right and it will slowly budge.. if u yank it out too hard the warranty sticker might peel a bit

Apple patented the usage of multi touch (which is to enlarge websites/photos.. etc) but Nokia can still use it for other reasons and patent it for themselves too.. but then again, resistive touch screen does not support multi touch.
