Just now I switched on my Garmin XT and got a lock in 3 seconds as usual. After that I checked the log and it seems I have used 4kb of data received.



I'm using Maxis postpaid so basically 4kb data = 4 cents

So hell yeah its worth using A-GPS

btw signing apps can only be done when you have the dev cert for everyone's phone. Your dev cert can only sign apps that be used for your phone because the cert is tied to the IMEI.

If ur helping others get their dev cert then yeah I think u've got a chance at ur sales

I did a hard reset before and the facebook app that came with the phone also hilang... lucky i can find the installer and install it back.

are you using MFM or MSM? and if you're using MFM did you compile the correct version of the map? Because if u compile the full POI version for the Nuvi your Garmin XT might hang.. lol

compile the middle one cukup... I'm also sure they got write there (recommended for Garmin XT) isn't it...

btw honestly I have tried the Lite version and the Normal version there isn't much difference in terms of render time..

I prefer the default browser because it supports flash and hey the render is more proper than OpMini but you need the iPhonesque mod with UAChanger to set the web render to be more flexible.. anyways for me both the default browser n opmini does crash no matter what =\

sometimes its the software problem... need to quit and start again. How to know the software is not working? Basically when you start Garmin right, u should see one bar (it is in red colour). if got one bar means it is trying to get a lock. If got zero bar means the software kinda screwed up already and need to restart again.

You are very sure your A-GPS in on right?

Settings > Phone > Application Settings > Positioning > Positioning Methods


if you are very sure then maybe there is a faulty GPS device for your friend's tube. best to do is send back to NCC for repair.

Well for one, using malfreemaps on Garmin is more updated. Google maps is using top down 2D map... Garmin can use 3D view. Another thing is, Google maps need wifi to operate... its different from Nokia maps where u can use GPS.
