after a year of admiring mt fuji from afar, i finally climbed up the mountain a couple of days ago. it was a 12-hour climb/descent from morning to evening, so i didnt get to watch sunrise from the peak.

here's the view from the foot of mt fuji:

and the crater at the peak. remember that fuji is still a sleeping volcano
