QUOTE(PsyCHZZZ @ Apr 7 2009, 05:31 PM) From what I observe usually: Kombini: If you buy food - 1. they'll ask if you wanna 'nuke' it? (microwave) 2. sometimes they ask if you want chopstick. If you buy only 1 item - 1. They might ask if you want a bag OR if you're going to eat/use it right away? If you buy stuffs from supermarkets / departmental stores - then like 80% of the time they'll ask if you have their 'point card' before you pay. If you're eating in a fastfood outlet - at the counter; after all the long greetings and all - usually first question is "Will you be eating in?" so, it's either a 'hai' or 'take out' (which they'll understand). Anyway, most of the time you can just cheat your way if you just say 'hai' or 'onegaishimasu' ... like if you buy food and they ask all sorts of questions; just say yes to all la... if they nuke it for you and give you extra chopsticks - no harm done ma right? just to add, when you buy stuff at supermarket they will ask if you want plastic bag or not. if you say yes, they will add 5 yen to your bill. at least that's whats happening in mishima. might not apply to tokyo, im not sure

today due to bad weather im stuck at home. tomorrow also not looking good (50% chance of rain). i was hoping to travel down izu peninsula which is south of mishima city. if the rain lets up tomorrow then hopefully i can go.
musha or odd mochi: i really would like to ajak you guys to join but it seems my plans are totally dependent on the weather tomorrow, so nothing is confirmed at all. if you guys plan to meet somewhere else let me know ya

QUOTE(tanoshi @ May 13 2009, 10:29 AM) halamek... On board for 106 minutes (Traveling for 128 minutes) One-way fare:6,660 yentakai oooo! im guessing that's the shinkansen ticket price right? if you take normal train (JR tokaido line) from tokyo it'll cost you ~3000yen BUT it will take you 3 hours to reach Shizuoka

for now most of the cases are in osaka and kobe area. so it best not to visit those areas anytime soon for those worried about strict checks at airport, they are slowly going to scale down the screening http://www.asahi.com/english/Herald-asahi/...0905200001.html
