There are alot of differences obviously, but I think they aren't that significant. Atleast from all the combo vids I've seen. The switch from 5 buttons to 4 buttons may need a little bit of getting used to, but isn't anything major.

you are correct it's my money. i chose R3 because i am not a fanatic collector like you who would pay his own life to get a few bonus discs. so what's it to you? i am not bragging anything and if you got a problem with bragging you should turn your attention to dpenalty who's bragging about getting his R1 game first and getting his BB stick first. if you don't want to read my comments you can always ignore me. nobody is forcing to you to read my comments. i have no reason to quarrel with you. do you have a reason to quarrel with me?

getting back on topic: i just got this game a few hours ago and there is a 1.01 patch out already. character sprites are a bit jaggy. music is loud like gg. best of all, there are short cuts to perform combos and ultimate moves. you wish SF4 had shortcuts after you played this game. but of course some of you hardcore nuts would find that cheap, but hey, i like cheap. there is also a story mode. is worth RM200+ for a fighting game? yes, if you can afford it. otherwise, save your money for something better like Uncharted 2.

Care to elaborate what kind of shorcuts? Press 2 buttons and the special/super comes out?

i remembered before one of the MvC games had a similar system but they cap the chars with only 1 super bar. So there should be some draw backs for using such features

Indeed, it sounds like the game is built around a stick (wait aren't most fighting games like that?).
I'm thinking if I should get a stick or not too, but it is darn expensive.

GG worked well with controllers, I'm expecting the same for BB too.

you use the R stick on the DS3 to perform the shortcuts. example : push the R stick right and you do a combo, push the R stick down and you do your ultimate move. there is no super bar cap whatsoever in this game.

So is this out yet? Anyone playing it and how much is it and do regions matter, etc.?

My cousin's PS3 came back, so I'm half thinking of picking this up.

Ohhh, if use the analog stick then it doesn't matter, i thought use 2 button shortcuts . Going to sychronize combos and gameplay using the analog stick will be a bit tough so I dun think it will effect the match much.

Unless your using a Guile Type char and you'll wallk then sommersault. Now that may spoil the match up

Just that GG seems fine for me for the controller as I've always been playing GG through pads all these while.
And 4 buttons on BB with a pad seems rather weird since the D button is where all the main specials are.
Dedicated to 1 button seems a little weird for me compared to GG.

I find this shortcut shit really dumb.
I can imagine people online using this to spam Jin's ice sword or Arakune's OMFGBEEES every damn second.
But nonetheless this function will definitely make it easy for newbies to come in and play.

This is making me afraid of the casuals in BB online.

shortcut buttons are similar to how KOF 98 was employed the L and R buttons to specials and supers. I'm guessing that's the case. It is actually fun, though may be a little cheap.

SF4 couldn't really do that because the game centers on a 6 button layout. so, all buttons would have been filled with the necessary button to be pressed (Except for PPP and KKK to be a shortcut for an ultra). So, it is great for me that this game has it (TBH, i won't be using it). Its just for fun and sumtimes for a good laugh too.

Shortcuts are fine i think cause im guessing Arksys wants more players for the game but of course if they didnt put it in would be better. Still depends if one wants to improve in a fighting game or not. Surely if a Tourney was held they wont allow such shortcuts

Last time I played GG using the pad also was good enough, but once i get to the arcades and vs people there. I got blurred for a few matches
Then I had to buy the stick in the PS2 so that i can improve, cause there was one guy in the arcades who was dominating then i tak puas hati. Practice on a stick till my tv come out smoke, after a week challenge back then i dominated

Sadly, he changed his gameplay then he conquered again. Till now its still between me and him but its like 4/10 matches i won haha
