No 1 is already unacceptable. What great insights / confidential document does TTB think his company has?

Even in places like goldman sachs, JP Morgan etc where the investment bankers / investment managers / traders have much more confidential information / data and are true global market movers, these companies did not ban personal mobile phones from their premises. Capital Dynamic's reason for this sounds like a load of bull shit to get the staff to work without any regards to outside world during working hours.
*
No 1. is actually just damn weird. I've worked in regulated industries before (previous employer's HQ building was actually classified as a potential terrorist target by the government). What's the norm to be enforced is a second mobile device only for work purposes, and no access to work related stuff from personal devices.

Wah, you guys must be really free, can post on forum even during office hours. No wonder you are no longer with Capital Dynamics.

I would not want to waste time arguing with losers who would only criticise others at the back.

For those of you who wish to know more about my personal experience with Capital Dynamics, feel free to pm me. I am more than happy to share.

If you are open-minded, best is to come and find out about Capital Dynamics yourselves. At least seek clarification from the interviewers, like I did. After all, you have nothing to lose.

This is not the right forum to find out about a company, when the commentors consist mostly of the naysayers, and mostly have nothing better to do except spreading negative and biased views.

Hi. I recently applied for an internship with Capital Dynamics after I got to know about the company from my university. They called me for interview within a day or two after I submitted my application, it was my first interview. I received their offer a few days later. What shocked me was they offered me a monthly stipend of RM3k, which was really out of the norm for an intern. I was not sure if it was a scam. I searched on the internet and found negative reviews about the company. I was really frightened and worried that it would be a horrible working environment and I may have to work very long hours or OT every day. In the end, I rejected their offer. Few weeks later, I was informed by my university coordinator that Capital Dynamics would like to have a video call with me and my coordinators to clarify on the matter. I was surprised to see the CEO in the video call, together with his managers. He explained to me and my coordinators the reason why the company offered me such a high stipend, as he thinks that my qualification is already equivalent to a fresh graduate as I have completed all my subjects, which was why he thinks that I deserve a fresh grad pay even though I only applied for an internship. The company was being very ethical and did not want to exploit me as an intern. I feel very bad and regretted for not seeking further clarifications from the company earlier and for believing in the negative reviews in the forums, which turned out to be false and biased. I know students and applicants refer to the forums for reviews of the companies. Hence, I am sharing my personal experience here hoping that it would be a good reference for those of you who wish to join Capital Dynamics, and be wiser when you refer to the reviews from the forums.

I worked for 6 companies over 8 years. For nearly 9 years after that, I worked in the best company, rising from a junior executive to senior management. This was when I thankfully joined Capital Dynamics.

In all my 9 years, I was trained intensively and extensively by the company. I was given opportunities that I never knew existed. There were very motivating. The rewards and benefits at Capital Dynamics were very generous and trust me, they were very unique as well.

Not only is there no office politics, Capital Dynamics does not believe in and does not practise OT. Not a single staff is asked to do OT. The culture in CD is very results-based. If you can produce the results by the agreed deadline, you are free to go whenever. What OT? You manage yourself responsibly. If you have to stay back after office hours to finish your work on time, shouldn’t you?

The culture in CD is also very caring. Capital Dynamics is under the “Essential Services” category. It has to stay open at all times, just like Bursa Malaysia. In order that its staff stay safe and still meet the legal obligations under Essential Services, staff are provided breakfast and lunch every day all paid for the company. They can also choose various working times to avoid congested public transport or jams. Wow, these are so much better than some of the larger companies.

The culture at Capital Dynamics is very empowering for all staff – no micromanaging for sure (for the less experienced ones, do not confused between regulatory compliance with micromanaging). For example, the staff can wear whatever they find suitable. They can nap any time for whatever length of time they choose to. In the pantry, they can play ping-pong, watch tv or play the piano – anytime the staff chooses to.

Despite his huge success, the CEO of CD is very humble, compassionate, extremely generous and an unusually sincere person. Wise, funny, open-minded, TTB is actually a patient teacher to his staff rather than a CEO of a company. Is he perfect? No, he is human after all, but after 9 long and rewarding years in Capital Dynamics, I find him to be a wonderful human being. Unlike my previous bosses, TTB respects all his staff. Even though he is a very senior CEO, he is willing to listen to our opinions and ideas.

Why did I leave? The irony for TTB and Capital Dynamics is that they nurtured me so bloody well that the larger and richer financial institutions headhunted me like a gem. But my million thanks to TTB and Capital Dynamics for the best 9 years.

Why I am posting this in this LowYat forum? I see few positive comments about TTB and Capital Dynamics in LowYat. This is not the true situation and unfair to them. After nearly 9 years, I can safely say I know TTB and Capital Dynamics inside out and is therefore in an excellent position to portray the true picture. For those who want to genuinely know more, give me either your email or phone contact.

With all the positive things you mentioned about Capital Dynamics, why do you choose to leave after 9 years? Surely money isn't everything?
Wouldn't continuing be a better option since you have the seniority?

Hey, what have I been missing ...

Hi dupe ... another one eh.

Wow, you create an account just to post this ? again ?

You make it sound like its one of the Fortune 500 company.
Correction, better than Fortune 500 company as they surely have some bad in those company.
On top of that, everything is good and NOTHING's bad sweat.gif ... mau kencing pun agak agak la kawan.

Well, if CD is not a Fortune 500 company, the one who head hunt you from there must be one. No one in the right state on mind will leave such aGOOD company for anything less ... right ?

Anyway, to each his own and everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression ... mine included.
