i have googled about capital dynamics online and curious about the company.
is the company good, famous ?? how is the working environment there?
good paying ? anyone knows about this company?

Capital Dynamics is an investment adviser company. They are looking to expand their current IT department.

I went for the interview. It took me about 5 hours for the whole process. First, you will have 4 sets of questions to answer (multiple choice). Next, 4 essay questions to write. Last part was the group interview and group discussion.

Currently I am still waiting for their feedback on my application. I would say it will be a good learning experience there. Well, wish me luck!

haha, good luck guys. I used to work there for 5 months then I resigned. Super high turn over, ppl come ppl go. There are even alumni for Icap in facebook created by my friend.

I join when I was a fresh 2.5 years back. RM1.8k, but if you put 2k they will also accept. Because tan teng boo is super damn rich.

what other reasons are there for such high turnover rate besides asking its analyst to do printing? i dont mind doing printing

yes the T/O is really high . To me they look good but looks are deceptive

I heard they scared people use them as stepping stones.

I went for the interview 1-2 weeks ago. I am still waiting for their feedback. Tips? Hmm.. I think you better read up some about CMS. They will ask you lots of questions, technical/non-technical.

what is CMS btw ?

CMS=content management system.

They prefer open source guy. Just tell Chee wah u know about Joomla and u like open source, said u are gentoo linux lover, I am sure he will hire you.

I went for the equities analyst position, and from previous posts from sb who went for IT position, i guess the interview process quite similiar across different positions.

my case is 3 essays (explain and tell sth about yourself) + 4 sets : IQ+numerical+ verbal + ??? tests (similar to other assessments in banking jobs, maybe they want to show that they are selective, so they give 4 sets instead of the usual 2 sets) + 1 group interview. I went there 9am and went back 3pm. (break in between).

If you are selected for the final round, would be a meetup with tan teng boo.

Hehehehe...when I went for interview there wayyyyy back in 2000 I also had to do the same thing - IQ test + essay writing. They were looking for a CTO position. Asking stuff mainly about Java and open-source.

Back then, they weren't very big. Straight away got interviewed by Tan (and son, I think, very young).

Needless to say, didn't get it..
