The fit and isolation matters a lot on the PL30, although there will be some sound leaks from the outside.

Either get biflanges if they work for you, or get the smallest tip that can fit and try to bury it deep into your ears. Due to the way the PL30 is designed, it doesn't fit very deep.

So far I felt that it works very well when there is very little surrounding sound, able to reproduce lots of subtleties and can somewhat work well even for orchestral music (for a cheap budget la). Instrumental separation is quite frankly amazing to say the least.

However when it's in a noisier environment, the sound doesn't really get blocked and you'd feel that you've to raise the volume, then the subtleties and clarity starts to blend into the noise, so it doesn't sound as nice then.

One side of my PL50 housing break because of its seal is no effective anymore. Now is it just a hairline crack, I think sooner or later it will break into two... is this common? Now waiting advise from seller.

PL-20 user from June of 09.
Loved the clarity and isolation, jus bit prob with the noise when the wire touches things.

As of Oct of 2010, PL-20 left side went blank. wire problem it seems. Any solution besides getting a new one. lol

Thanks GodLuvSxS, got any suggestions?

How old is your PL50?
I have used the PL50 for close to a year(10 months, sold already) and the worst thing that happened was that the Soundmagic writing faded away, that's it.

It happens to both new and old ones. There are a few reports of this problem even in this forum itself. Imo PL50 SQ very good, but its build quality is definitely below average.

Still upcoming? or already have on sale?

QUOTE(ClieOS @ Jul 29 2011, 11:04 AM)
I received a reversion of the P30 already, the first version has the TMA-1 flavor, but the current version has more of a K51DJ flavor. Both are pretty good though.

I've got myself a pair of E30 today for 30GBP (Amazon sales, lol)

Jesus lol, finally I have found a pair of IEM that could fit my ear properly without much adjustment and discomfort! I could walk, jog and move around and they rests nicely in my ear, unlike most of the IEM I've had or tried, they tends to leak and need to be adjusted every freaking 3-5 minutes.

The sound quality is just...amazing for the price I've paid for it. I've tried Shure SE215 and 315, to be frank I can't say for sure because I don't have 215/315 to compare now but E30 beat the living crap out of these two Shure I've tried, and don't even get me start with the price lol.

Basically..I like just about everything about this little IEM, yes, everything. I cannot find a single thing that I can complain even if i nitpick!.
The earhook is awesome, the size, weight and sleekness of it is just perfect, I can finally sleep comfortably while listening to music laugh.gif
