QUOTE(freedom8901 @ Apr 30 2009, 06:10 PM) Wow ClieOS-san mind elaborate more abt PL11??? PL11 has better bass (unlike the muddy bloated bass of EP-630), better mid (sweet and well define), much better treble (lacking in EP-630), slightly better soundstage, and better accessories. The only up side about EP-630 is the cable quality (not a big problem if you take care of PL11) and the slightly smaller earpieces (not really that small anyway) Like I said, miles ahead.

QUOTE(Kyl3 @ Apr 30 2009, 07:43 PM) hey ClieOS, need an opinion from you How's pl30 compare with x3? Want to try something new I prefer X3 over PL30. In fact, I prefer PL20 and PL11 over PL30. The problem with PL30 is the fit. No matter which eartips I used, I can never get a good seal for more than 5 minutes. So even thought PL20 and PL11 sound not as detail nor as specious as PL30, I still prefer them, especially consider them both have better bass than PL30. If you want to try some different from X3, PL11 will be more fitting. It is still very close to X3 level but with a different sound signature.

QUOTE(xtorm @ May 17 2009, 12:15 AM) hows the x3 compare to either p20 or p11, to me x3 kinda lagging in bass. wana get another in ear for my cd player. Neither of them are capable of presenting the level of detail as well as X3. But given their point point, I think both have more than reasonable performance. SIne you already have X3, I think the bassier PL11 will be a better companion for a different kind of sound signature.

Not really very close, but closer in b/w the two.
PL20 has a slightly better soundstage.

No bi-flange.
It comes with 4 set of single flange and 3 set of foam tips - I don't think you need bi-flange anymore. If you really want to, you can cut a pair of tri-flange to bi-flange and it should fit.

I mean the selection is pretty good. You probably can find a good fitting eartips inside that you won't need a bi-flange anymore.

PL11 would have been a better choice if you are looking for bass.

The problem of coming off from a bass heavy phone is that everything else sounds like no bass. If you have the patience, try to adjust to the new sound first before making any rush judgment. Take your time to enjoy the overall quality of the sound instead of the quantity of the bass.

QUOTE(sil3ntguardian @ Jun 28 2009, 09:37 PM) Ic.. sry bro, new in this... If you are new, the right way to do is to set a budget first, then read review and find the one that fit your taste. If you have more specific question after that, you post and ask. If you don't have a clean idea of what you are looking for, you'll end up getting the wrong headphone you want. ...as for the previous post, I mean: not that good (that it can compare to to Custom 1)

QUOTE(laulyg @ Jun 30 2009, 03:40 PM) ClieOS, I wonder u hav try on handphone stock earphone... like Sony Erricson... the quality is comparable with retail 1?? Or u never put such cheap earphone into ur gold ear?? I have. In fact, the earbud that comes with my SE W380i is pretty good. They should have sell that instead of some of their current earbud line-up if you ask me. Oh, and I don't have gold ear, just more trained. If you keep forcing yourself to listening in critical mode, you can train your hearing too.

QUOTE(laulyg @ Jul 4 2009, 09:19 PM) Bro ClieOS , mind to ask... if I convert audio cd to mp3... What bit rate will be the best whitout loosing most detail? I found that 192kbps will be more treble, and clear mid range detail compare to 128kbps which start produce more bass... The best way to determine the bitrate is for you to rip the same song in different bitrate, and choose the lowest one that you feel satisfaction with the SQ. I usually just rip everything in 320kbps since I am not that worry about the file size.. For minimum, you should at least use 192kbps.
