kinda curious of the sound quality between soundmagic pl50 and sony xba1
anyone has sony xba1 and wants to compare?

From what I heard from the seller last time he said pl50 is more to balance clarity and better soundstage.. I tried once before purchased my pl11.. Quite good.. Xba1 never tried before sorry.. Both headphone in d same class?

From the very first listening,I have to say that the sound from e10 is really quite dynamic..

Yeah, PL50 and XBA-1 are in the same class. Both are priced the same, and both are single BA.
PL50 is quite possibly the most comfortable IEM I've ever owned. Both ergonomics wise and sound wise. Clarity, speed, detail and warmth all in one package. Not as good looking as the XBA-1 though.

Hmmmm....I am rather interested in the XBA-1. Thinking of getting a HisoundAudio Golden Crystal and an XBA-1 for when I'm in the mood for some signature change....

I must say though, that the PL50 will not be a wrong buy. Bass is adequate for a BA and it's presentation of the mids is very good, great for vocals, especially male vocals. If my local Sony dealer has an XBA-1 I could take a sneak peek into its sound...although almost all of the time they'd only let you try their IEM/headphone if you are actually buying them. I tricked them once into letting me audition the XBA-300 headphone.

ya they are both balance armature driver and the price range is similar that's why i ask

just went to sony style for a test run i find that XBA-1 is lacking of something compare to PL50 but i cant really tell what since i'm still a newbie in audiophile
when compare to xba-2, 3 or 4 then..

Hi, i have a pl11. but my pl11 have some problem. the midbass become so high. anyone know what is the problem?

e10 user here reporting in. I have been using it since January. All I can say is that I'm a very satisfied. Given the price it is just an amazing iem. What amazed me the most is its forward sound. I only need to listen with half of the max volume in my DAP. And the bass has very good emphasize.
But please let it burn sufficiently. When I first using it I thought the sound was too low and I almost wanted to sell it becoz it is worst than my Denon C260. I'm glad I didn't sell it away. After enough burning time it just sound amazing

what about the old model? what so special about e10 and e30? and also the pl50? if compare with three of them. which one is the best?

I think I need to clarify a bit. The two that I mentioned is what I feel are the best to me based on type of sound signature that I prefer. You see it really depends your preferred sound signature. So first you need to identify what type of sound that you like. Then it will be easy to find IEM based on the sound signature.

E10 and E30 are the latest SM dynamic driver IEMs it replaces PL21 and PL30 respectively although you can get these two older models at lower prices. PL50 is a Balanced armature drived IEM and nearing the end of its shelf life. There are better, newer and cheaper BA driver IEM namely FEELS Pro 900.

Between the three, PL50 has the best clarity (not too far ahead) and comfort BUT severely lacking Bass because of the BA driver physical properties. In the end its a toss up between E10 and E30 but E30 for best comfort, designed to wear over the ear not down like the E10.

Im torn between purchasing an E30 and E10, i prefer strong bass in my songs but hope that it wouldnt cover up the mids and the trebles... but i heard E10's mid and trebles are quite clear too no?

My friend owns an XBA1, and from what i heard..he says the bass is just disapointing...but the clarity is top notch though

E10 will be it,e10 mids is nice for the instance,it is not forward sounding,but the sound signature is nice,needless to mention,the sound is really dynamic,you are not going to miss any of it,thick and rich sound signature

I recommend E10 for you,durable as well...
