Yeah...to install those shields u need 'super sticking skills'. I've tried installing before on my P1 last time and then ended up in a mess....The sides start peeling and some parts just wouldnt stick. In 3 months time...the protective shield layer starts getting yellowish which makes the phone looks untidy and old.... I definitely wouldnt suggest u got for those shields. They are pricey and I dont think they really work. Maybe it will protect against light scratches but defitnitely not drops. For me I keep it simply by just buying a good leather pouch (ie Capdase) to protect the phone. Though abit bulky it gets the job done.

owh.. really? haha. Im glad im not oder those shield. Im not good in keep my phone safe. all the phone that i use before this drop from a high place like as high as double dekker bed, or it drop from my desk, or i excidently throw it. huhu.. Capdase look like it can protect my phone from drop as it a bit bulky. but the important here, the phone is safe after all. hehe..

I used capdase leather case fliptop b4.n yeah..it is really bulky.too bulky for me in fact,because i like to put my phone in my pocket.now im using PDair leather case..also a fliptop one.i like it waay better than capdase becoz it's less bulky and also more stylish design..hehe

owh yeah. Mm.. what about capdase bi fold? it is different with fliptop? i dont know much about this stuff. Btw, does ur PDair leather case can put in the pocket?

If im not mistaken the bifold is like a book-type,where u open it from sideways.if the fliptop u open it from the top.both pdair n capdase have those 2 types.personally,regardless of brand i prefer the fliptop.the bifold looks a bit too 'uncle' for me(hehe..no offense )..but it's up to one's preference la.from my experience when i use d capdase n put in the pocket,it looks very bulky.if pdair,it's less bulky bcoz it has no slot to put extra memory card n sim card(which is unnecessary to me)..but if u use beltclip,then both also can

Silver looks a bit fake cos i went n see the silver der...

Black looks nicer + in sony website they only have Black as official colour..silver is not in the list

previously i bought my X1 the person stick for me..but he nv stick properly...got dust here n there...

so, i give h/p shop ppl to stick...they stick the screen + battery cover + camera lense.. = RM 20 only...

they did a great job on sticking it... use those wipe specs cloth to wipe your screen every now n then..+ some lcd spray...

Wow! u guys a really great. thx for helping me. yeah. i just see the capdase bi fold. its too 'uncle' type. haha.. (no offense to those who use this type of leather case) Mm.. i guess i just buy the PDair leather pouch, as it can resist and can safe my phone from drop. Im so careless in this thing. haha.. I found those similar type about RM15 from a handhone accesorries stall at tropicana city mall, but those mainly for more popular model not for X1.
There r some can fit X1 but not perfectly. i couldn't wait to find one immediately so end up getting one micro fabric type with Sony Ericsson walkman logo.

i dont feel that is a good idea. as i surely think that it will affect my typing speed on QWERTY hardware keyboard.

summore most of the time the keyboard is so-called protected by the screen. so i diden apply any coating on that.. not even will think bout it lor i would say.

as the X1 does not come with an accelerometer, is there a way (or a button) to go to landscape mode without sliding the keyboard out?

I don't think there's any specific button that will rotate the screen.

By the way, I'm using AE Button Plus. The software allows you to re-map or re-configure the buttons to any function you want, including rotating the screen.
