Got 1 polis go to the motorbike shop.
Then saw my nob1 sss.

He ask me, bising tak. Then i said, bising oh, mau dengar?

He said: ok, dengar mcm mana?

After I vrroommmm a few times. He asked me:" mana beli? syiok betul bunyi tuh, i pun mau satu!"

FYI, tat police got a 28mm carb, a BRT CDI and removed airfilter, green LC like mine too. dont play play biggrin.gif

Here's the thing:

Tips to improve engine performance

Minor mod (increase acceleration)
1. Remove air filter. (Penang people can find me, FOC)
2. Reset carburetor air-fuel setting. (Penang people can find me, FOC)
3. Set valve tapette to 10 IN and 15 OUT. - RM30 labour charge @ New Bee Hock motor, Penang.
4. Change to 15-40 with 415 chain. - RM100

yes, alot of them have 135LC. Last time when I went for hill run at 9am, always see them riding on hill. Now 6.45am I go ady, they still zzz-ing, hahaha.

Haha, sorry dude, i can't remember your sprocket size ady. Its either you or jimmy is using 15-40 setting.

Anyway, don't worry about the top speed. Calvin using my 15-42, the foreman can reach 150kph top speed. Of course, he has a Kitti Xbox CDI, that's why can go this far.





are_keem, here's a list that you may put into the tuning tips:

sprocket combination (stock CDI)

15-35 - 1st : 48kph, 2nd : 90kph, 3rd : 130kph, 4th : 180kph; acceleration -10.0%
15-36 - 1st : 46kph, 2nd : 86kph, 3rd : 125kph, 4th : 175kph; acceleration - 7.8%
15-37 - 1st : 44kph, 2nd : 83kph, 3rd : 122kph, 4th : 169kph; acceleration - 5.1%
15-38 - 1st : 43kph, 2nd : 80kph, 3rd : 118kph, 4th : 160kph; acceleration - 2.6%

15-39 - 1st : 42kph, 2nd : 78kph, 3rd : 115kph, 4th : 155kph; acceleration no change

15-40 - 1st : 41kph, 2nd : 75kph, 3rd : 111kph, 4th : 151kph; acceleration + 2.6%
15-41 - 1st : 40kph, 2nd : 73kph, 3rd : 108kph, 4th : 148kph; acceleration + 5.1%
15-42 - 1st : 39kph, 2nd : 71kph, 3rd : 105kph, 4th : 144kph; acceleration + 7.8%
15-43 - 1st : 38kph, 2nd : 69kph, 3rd : 102kph, 4th : 140kph; acceleration +10.0%

after changing racing CDI >> top speed for 4th gear can add about 10 - 20kph.

* note * the above data is an estimation of potential top speed for each gear, and may vary from bike to bike.

The 4th gear actually is the most fake one. Some people get very high top speed, some people get very low.

Theoretically, standard sprocket can reach only 150kph at 9000rpm, and the CDI cut is actually happening at about 9200rpm (which is 155kph). 10,000rpm will give us 160kph --> still achievable by over-reving a lil when the wind helps.

But, 180kph, the engine revs up to 12,000rpm. I was told by Hong Leong Yamaha that, some bike meter are lighter than another, sometimes got difference in top speed even both are set equally.

Sure la. 180kph is the potential only, provided if the engine is powerful enough to go up to that speed.

Please note that:
When we change sprocket alone, we can never increase the top speed of the bike more than 20kph.

So LilCroSs, you may need to use a 60mm block + piston and a racing 28mm carb to unleash the potential to reach 180kph.

haha, but seriously, it is impossible for stock CDI to reach 180kph. 12,000rpm wei. Unless the CDI is unique (set to the wrong cutoff rpm) or the meter gear got problem. Yamaha Hong Leong told me, 1st generation seems faster, because the meter is 20% off from the 2nd generation.

How big are you raining0? more than 80kg?

28mm carb alone is not enough. Need to change 3 in one shot --> 28mm carb, 60mm block + piston (basically change to 166cc engine). Try not to change 28mm carb alone, because you will sacrifice low rpm power although high rpm power increased slightly.

If you change to 28mm carb + 60mm block + piston + racing CDI, can use back original 15-39 sprocket. Then you can get a lot more acceleration and easily reached 160kph in less than 1km (guaranteed).

Price, you need to research yourself from the shops around you. Different place different price. smile.gif

Racing 28mm carb is around RM300.
60mm block + piston around RM300.
Racing CDI is around RM400.

Racing CDI improve your bike acceleration as horsepower at all range rpm increased a little.

I just service the bike when needed.

Exhaust pipe performance varies. Many brands are designed for big engine block such as 60mm. Some even worse, got sound only but no power. The best one is Yoshimura pipe, but that cost more than RM1000.

1.6" diameter for standard LC block and piston. That website only can calculate size, but kenot do some design change. It is better to pull the L-shape curve a bit further, so that the exhaust gas can flows into the manifold easier.


Well, I change EO every 2500 - 3000km. Oil filter every 6000km. Engine ady hit 25,000km in 1.75 years.
The worst case is my tyre la. Every 4 - 5 months gotta change the rear tyre once, really burn a hole in my wallet !!!

I still prefer my Royal Purple 10W-40.

Didn't get fine. They are policeman on plain shirt, not traffic police.

The worst part was, I thought they come for Penang LC gathering, because 3 of them ride 135LC !!!

the main reason why they ambushed was because they suspect me.

Before I meet up spayz, I was doing my training session for 4 rounds. The first 2 rounds when I go slow to test the road traction, these policemen are not around yet.

However, when I am doing extreme cornering and full throttle for the last 2 rounds, they saw me.

They suspect me because, at first I was speeding from the dam area to Balik Pulau direction and they are coming opposite of me.

Then, I U-turn and run again towards the dam area. They were gathering near the dam guard house. One of them are in red 135LC and I thought it was spayz. I slowed down and look, and the Indian police wave hand to me. I thought he was saying "Hi", so I just cabut.

Later I go and bungkus pao and meet up spayz. As we were chatting, suddenly 3 bikes came towards us.

and then the ambush story continues...

I think there must be one of the gang noticed me at butterfly farm, else the plain clothes police won't know I was there and rush down from the dam to check me out. hahahha

I guess your front wheel lock and buang. If rear buang, your rear footrest will kena 1st. Anyway, its ok la, practise makes perfect. I have been training at Teluk Bahang for the past 2 years. If you train like tat, sure can improve very very quickly one.

So, are you going to mod your bike any of the weekdays? Your boss let you off early to go repair bike or not? tongue.gif
