Tomorrow, Bee Hock may be testing the 240cc LC for the drag race. How about we meet at Bee Hock around 7.30pm? After he close shop only we go makan.

Added on June 18, 2009, 10:29 pmToday, my 160cc is at 600km.

Tried top speed fetching a fren about 55kg. (I am 72kg).
With the Givi box can reach 155kph, still accelerating, but too many cars. I am at the highway near Tesco.

I wanted a 21IN 18OUT head, but Bee Hock can't get. If I order online, may cost me more than RM750... TOO EXPENSIVE. (the head comes with TK valves, the valve angle is around 45 deg - 60 deg from photo).

I am using TK valves too, but it is stock size and 30 deg valve angle. Can only do some porting now on the head.
*
Sounds good. Where does TK valves come from? Where is Bee Hock?

Some ideas:
Make something for ppl to play with - some curly wires, and let the audience hold a loop to move through the wires. If the loop touches the wire, activate some alarm.

That electrostatic dome thing that makes hair stand up one?

EXperiment using a Zaptor VS?

chemistry ah, try this:
- Use fruit to make battery and power up alarm clock or something. Some ppl might heard of this before, and internet can find. The chemistry is the metal electrodes used...
- Mentos and Coke water fountain. Some demo available online where ppl arrange a series of bottle and create a fountain show.
- Electroplating. Plate a spoon with copper or something. Plate anything you can get your hands on...
- Make salt crystals - Girls would dig this.
- Fireworks, different chemistry = different color. Haha, teacher may ban you...
- Neon light... different gas create different light... then after project, put on bike.
- Make some fluoroscent salt water, and then maybe drink it... need some reference. Be safe.
- Potato starch timer (used to make a bomb in CSI).
- Dissect a battery
- Put superglue in a dry chamber and show ppl it will never dry.
- Experiment showing the difference of boiling behavior using normal water versus radiator coolant.
- Compare the different viscosity of multigred engine oil at hot vs cold. Normal oil like cooking oil etc, become more 'cair' as it heats up, but engine oil is reverse one. You can generate ideas to make this looks interesting. tongue.gif
- Since you've made smoke bomb before, can make a rocket out of it not?

So wat brand of block and carb is recomended??? this 2 things is around RM600 d right??
*
Dunno, but I know he's on LC160 now... he also mod other stuff.
Somebody selling OEM TZM carb 30mm on mudah.my at RM180, can try.
Pipe will affect torque/HP distribution, you won't get wrong, just difference riding style... like my stock bike, pickup good but topspeed so~so...

Added on June 24, 2009, 12:22 pmAlexei can this fella from mudah be trusted? Im interested in the Mikuni carb
*
I bought one carb from him, quick delivery. Name is Kamaronizam.
He gave me a contact who bought a Mikuni carb from him, and he told me it's not ori, but more of OEM, but can use.
New original TZM carb cannot be found in the market these days; shops will quote you from 1000~3000 ringgit.

*
Yup, it will. He has more to sell... so he's in this for business.
I got mine poslaju, next day.

Added on June 25, 2009, 7:49 pmSorry to hear that NaOki... get well soon. Cornering almost got me few times, sandy corner is one, aquaplaning is another...

Take heed, and ride safe.

Added on June 25, 2009, 7:50 pmBTW, NaOki, I reckon that's fast for a cornering speed. tongue.gif
Are you trying to break a personal record or something ah? I do that on my way to work daily... LOL

Added on June 25, 2009, 7:51 pmGuys, do you keep original parts after modding?
I suggest you do, coz it will be priceless in case someday your roadtax expired and u need to go P_SPAKOM to recertify... My RGV kena racing footrest...

Added on June 25, 2009, 7:54 pmTryX, smaller carb size is better in this case, coz if carb size too big, the air speed not fast enough to mix fuel, then engine become not smooth, or even stalling.

I would dare say even at high RPM, a smaller 26mm may even be a better choice for a 28mm carb.

Charge, what say you? Since you have the most experience on this matter.

Erm X1R footrest is good if is original from Yamaha but if Malaysia is like impossible to get the original 1. All also chap ayam de X1r footrest from Thailand even have chop yamaha but fake 1. if not original 1 really suck, alot of problem. so i think racing boy de  is better but the gear all terbalik 1 biggrin.gif need to get use to it. Footrest looks good and good in cornering but not relaxing so better think twice for what u want biggrin.gif

Added on June 25, 2009, 10:26 pm
ermmm depends on bike as i know 2 stroke bike is more easy to mod even with big carb but the engine still run smooth as long as it using original carb not the fake 1 but 4 stroke im kinda new dont know much about it yet smile.gif dont really dare to mod mod yet tongue.gif i use to have a RG but sold it coz that bike cost me too much to maintain and i always loosing my screw biggrin.gif
*
Yeah, I'm quite particular about screw also, I want my bike to be fully original. If original one rust, will go buy stainless steel one and replace whole set. I've spent that on disc brake screws.

Footrest ah, get one that won't shake longgar2 one.
Reverse gearing is like racing bikes loh... like my RGV and TZM.

One thing about racing footrest is the backward angle. Riding comfort is good, but I hate it when braking, because now the foot cannot hold the body weight, and lower body will lunge forward. More strain on arm also when braking, and I consider this DANGEROUS. Imagine you brake corner, butt go forward, cannot press rear brake, then arm cannot steer properly because holding bodyweight... Just try braking one time your feet in the air, you'll know what i mean.

After i fail p_uspakom, change to original footrest, i keep the racing one already, not looking back.

To all LYN members, Please be aware that this person stated above is a scammer. I bank in RM180 to his account to purchase a TZM carb from Mudah.com on last wednesday. He said that he's gona use Skynet to send the product to me on Thursday. I waited till today and the carb never arrive at my doorstep. Call him numerous times but he didnt wana answer the phone, sms him and there's no reply at all.

I dont mind losing the RM180 cause as i know buying stuff online has always been a big risk.

So all users please be aware of this scammer.

Not sure if can just switch on both sides using the stock relay with an add'l switch. You'll need to use a double lane switch so not to short the left and right when not in use...

anyway, thinking to change the clutch plate since the bike felt heavy on mid-high RPM. top speed also dropped to around 130km/h only. should I change it along with the harder clutch spring? what's the effect of harder clutch spring then? hmm.gif

Jump start. Imagine full RPM and then let go the clutch.

Unless you know something is very wrong... ask for replacement piece by piece, prepare RM600.

For clutch mod, full set comes with racing clutch plate, hardened clutch housing, racing clutch springs and the whole racing gear set.
This setup make engine power transfer to the bike more stiff, so pickup, acceleration etc won't have clutch slipping.

One example, when you full throttle, and then release the clutch, your bike will plunge forward with less clutch slipping. That's how racing bikes can jerk jerk at starting line bah...

Negative side, engine easy to stall or mati because shifting is stiff, riding more jerky, hand tired holding clutch etc etc...

Haha, to jerk jerk at starting line, need to mod engine so it become high RPM, then mod gear and clutch lo... then can pull throttle then play play with the clutch and brakes to make bike jerk. You can try with stock LC, can jerk jerk, but ppl think you Mat rempit only lerrr...

is this because of the clutch plate or hardened clutch spring? I wanna use Wave 125 clutch plate because it's thicker than the original one.
*
Sorry i take that back. You'd feel harder clutch lever but won't affect your riding.
I've not tried the different configuration before, but for bikes, shouldn't feel the difference since the clutch doesn't have the rotation spring like the ones in cars.

Thicker clutch plate can fit into the clutch housing ah? Later I worry your gear shifting not smooth.

oh, sorry bout that whysomany, im still confuse about the clutch and non clutch, some say the clutch are not good compared to the non clutch one. others say its good.

tried to google the pros and cons but i cant find it anywhere ( help! xo )

if its not better, why the price for ES little bit steep compared to the non clutch one?
*
Clutch gives more control:
1. Shift gear and throttle separate control, but for non-clutch, need to reduce throttle.
2. Can slide downhill.
3. Clutch locks to the clutch housing, so less friction heat generated.
4. Cannot bawa tangga aluminium while riding... susah sket, dsb...

Big bike has autogear one also, but most passionate rider likes control. Big bikes don't have auto-clutch la, if that's what you mean...
