Since it has been long, just wondering, for waterproof shoes (preferably not boots), anyone got any recommendations on the brands?

Currently looking at a few brands, Salomon, Jack Wolfskin, Merrell etc.

my electronic gadgets work well in Shirakawa-go and that time was Jan. Very thick heavy snow place. Temp about minus 10C. Only battery drain faster, that's all.

My pair of trail shoes are from Columbia. Their range of waterproof shoes are called Outdry I think.

Columbia. Hard for me to see and get. Lol. That's why I am still viewing around. Not really wanting something that is for hiking but to go around especially under the rain.

Hm I do have a pair of timberlands as well but it's bulky and looks more like boots. The Columbia pair I have actually looks like walking casual shoes, not too bulky. And comfortable to walk in. So I use it for travels since can be worn for city or hiking use laugh.gif

I'm sure it'll be fine. It's not that cold. I would be more afraid of hot than cold. Weather too hot, might overheat and burn out lol.

Although some of the Timberland are quite nice, I am most likely getting Merrell or some other brands instead since I am spoilt with choices with the brands that I can find now. Haha.

Are u go8ng to the mountai region? If yes u need winter clothing for end dec. Otherwise, Taiwan winter is not extreme. Few fleeces will do. Temp should be ~13-16c that time.
