QUOTE(yi7117 @ Mar 31 2009, 04:03 AM) Just got this lappy from PC3 at Low Yat plaza... which shop in particular did you get it from? The RM2199 package comes with:- Bag, Headset, Locker, USB hub & mouse. If you don't need the item mentioned above then got discount Rm50. Among the freebies only the bag and usb hub comes in handy. Just done my back up disc. Overall i am quite satisfied with the lappy only thing is the usb port, you definitely need the usb hub oh and btw, i'm a newbie at laptops too, and a friend told me that he doesnt really trust lowyat stores because you never know how haphazardly they handle the merchandise. how true is that? |

QUOTE(deentk_1987 @ Mar 26 2009, 03:50 PM) i wondering if the combination of pentium dual-core + ati radeon 3470 should be a perfect match for gaming performance, especially the high demanding ones e.g. call of duty 4, call of duty 5, devil may cry 4, command & conquer red alert 3, left 4 dead, dead space, prince of persia and other kinds of games available in market. i'm also wondering if the new acer aspire 4730gz should able to handle this high demanding games in market. is anyone trying this laptop before, please comment and share, who knows i would like to bought it one soon (hey hey hey...) Added on March 26, 2009, 3:52 pmand before i forgot, i'm also wonder if the acer aspire 4730gz is also a perfect laptop for such multi-tasking, entertainment and assignment purposes. QUOTE(deentk_1987 @ Mar 31 2009, 07:12 PM) i own a different laptop with same GC which is 3470 but with a slightly better processor t5800. With around 1000x700 reso+ mid setting(depend on the game) i manage to play Assassin Creed, L4D, COD4 and DMC 4 with around 30 fps which is fully playable. I guess this acer should be able to perform almost same as mine, unless the processor bottleneck its performance. This post has been edited by blackmarket: Mar 31 2009, 07:39 PM |

I'm stucked at choosing this and Compaq CQ40, price is almost the same
CQ40 AMD Turion X2 2.2Ghz 1GB RAM (custom upgrade to 4GB) ATI Radeon 3200 256MB dedicated RAM CQ40 v2 (priced about RM300 more) same as above except 350GB HDD, ATI 3450 512MB dedicated RAM. The sales person all said that Turion x2 is more powerful than Pentium. Which is a better buy? Acer or Compaq? |

QUOTE(NEWBIES YF @ Mar 31 2009, 07:08 PM) actually the modelacer aspire 4935-"642g25", features Sorry about it. I didn't notice the spec numbers behind the model. Well, in terms of graphic performance HD3470 pawns X4500MHD for sure. However, T6400 is a bit better than T4200. I can only find the benchmark of T6400 but not T4200 at http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Proces...ist.2436.0.html. Well, you should try google.Acer Aspire 4935 Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6400 (2.13GHz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB) Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset with integrated 3D graphics, featuring Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD (Intel® GMA 4500MHD) with up to 1,759MB of Intel® Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0 (64MB of dedicated system memory, up to 1,695MB of shared system memory), supporting Microsoft® DirectX® 10 Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 5100/5300 (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) Wi-Fi CERTIFIED® network connection, featuring MIMO technology, supporting Acer SignalUp™ with Nplify™2 wireless technology 14" HD 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, high-brightness (200-nit) Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit TFT LCD, supporting simultaneous multi-window viewing via Acer GridVista, 16:9 aspect ratio [B]250GB HDD 2GB DDR2 RAM Memory (upgradeable to 4GB) Added on March 31, 2009, 7:11 pmif with windows vista home, price:rm2399. is it nore worth to choose this model, instead of 4730zg??? do u thk in pcfair, price will go down some more?? |

If your main usage is to play game, then the laptop u mention is not for gaming. if you were to compare this model with the older 4920G with 2500/2400XT.
the previous model is more powerful. Both processors and graphic performance. |
