i wondering if the combination of pentium dual-core + ati radeon 3470 should be a perfect match for gaming performance, especially the high demanding ones e.g. call of duty 4, call of duty 5, devil may cry 4, command & conquer red alert 3, left 4 dead, dead space, prince of persia and other kinds of games available in market. i'm also wondering if the new acer aspire 4730gz should able to handle this high demanding games in market. is anyone trying this laptop before, please comment and share, who knows i would like to bought it one soon (hey hey hey...)

Added on March 26, 2009, 3:52 pmand before i forgot, i'm also wonder if the acer aspire 4730gz is also a perfect laptop for such multi-tasking, entertainment and assignment purposes.

i own a different laptop with same GC which is 3470 but with a slightly better processor t5800. With around 1000x700 reso+ mid setting(depend on the game) i manage to play Assassin Creed, L4D, COD4 and DMC 4 with around 30 fps which is fully playable. I guess this acer should be able to perform almost same as mine, unless the processor bottleneck its performance.

If you are asking which one is more worth, you have to let us know your purpose of buying the laptop first. If your main usage is to play game, then the laptop u mention is not for gaming. Regardless of the how great the the T6400 to you, intel GMA wont perform well in gaming.

Quite badly
Along with Crysis

Earphones
Notebook lock
Light
Cooler
Keyboard protector
Notebook skin
Mouse
Ethernet cable

According to the Window Experience Index, the CPU scores 4.0 while ATI Radeon HD3470 scored 3.0. There's also a big lag difference between 1028x768 with 800x600 resolution while playing Last Remnant. I would say the bottleneck is at ATI HD 3470. This is my observation but I'm too lazy to install benchmarking tools.

You sure the score is only 3.0? Is Last Remnant fully playable at this reso with ati 3470? BTW For those who ask whether Processor is the bottleneck to the gpu, i think they might have over-estimated the strength of ati 3470.
