It is a ok laptop with this price. if ur just want to buy 2000++ laptop and can play mid end games u can go for it.

The simplest way is to reformat and install with XP and see if it works. If it doesn't, format again and switch to Vista. The most basic hardware (motherboard, hdd, graphic card,CPU) will work. The speculated thing that won't work can be webcam, touchpad without any other function like scrolling and other peripheral.

Its possible and its easy.
Just go to Acer's website and download the 4730ZG XP drivers.

if i buy 4730zg at lowyat plaza, i wonder what freebies i could get?

u could try ask around. Either there is no freebies or those common types such as a mousepad or a notebook cooler or a pendrive.

I rather get the RM2080 with basic freebies than RM2199/RM2160 (what I paid for) with additional freebies honestly. At least I can shop for the accessories I want.

Backlight bleeding is owning me to the max. I don't know if it just me who's unlucky or it's affected all 4730ZG units. Anyone knows if Acer service centre will rectify backlight bleeding?

One thing I didn't realise is I was given a Dark Blue colour model. I thought it comes as Black. I prefer Black to Dark Blue.

Uninstalled most of the Acer crap & trial softwares. Haven't install games yet on this laptop nor ran benchmarking tools yet.

count me in...
but maybe I'll go on weekend..
