In fring, there is a setting to hide your phonebook contacts. Try to look for the option, its in there. Cos I also just fixed this issue yesterday on my tube.


I am going through this right now... sometimes when you connect via PC Suite somehow the phone book contacts cannot be accessed. I don't know why but I had to unplug the phone several times only I finally managed to get a clean backup.
Note: If they say the backup has errors, don't trust the log. The log told me that it saved my contacts but it didn't (due to the problem I just mentioned above)

There is a backup function. It is the 1st icon that looks like a vault. When you backup, it backs up everything at one go including sms, settings, your files.. etc

Hi, I bought this phone like a week ago. I like it, its simple and the touch screen is quite accurate when i type using full qwerty mode (Im a big guy with chubby fingers).

However I found one annoying fault in the software. Maybe its just my phone, hope that you guys can give me some ideas how to fix it.

When i jack a headphone/charger, while it is locked the phone would light up. Now if i were to unlock the phone using keyguard at this instance (while the phone lights up), the screen would go blank. I can press any of the 3 buttons, it will not light up but i can hear the key tones which means it is unlock. To get back into normal operations, i have to use keyguard again to lock, press any of the three buttons to get the notice popup and then use keyguard to unlock. Only then the screen would show up.

To avoid the above i have to wait till the phone dimmed down and blank before unlocking the phone.

i too have the same problem as ndra, but if i can remember, firmware version 11 dun hvnt this problem rite?

but how to fix it? i dun mind, but its quite annoying at times.

i just need to lock n unlock back several times then it'll be fine

it could be firmware lor i think. but its not a big things, i think the next update will fix it lor... provided it has a next update.

i've been using mu tube for 3 days, i'm quit satisfy with it.
but the bad things is the casing feel really plasticky

Which way do you guys prefer? the build in Email of 5800 with IMAP configuration on Gmail. Or the Gmail S60 Client that runs on Java?

i had installed garmin xt according to the instructions on the 1st page.

i use the map which is older version (free one)

but how do i configure my garmin ?

when i on the application, it says bluetooth is currently turned off. please turn it on.

and how to do the setting? Is it automatically set by garmin i.e new location etc?

you suppose to purchase for the garmin to support internal GPS. For external GPS its free.

It cost 99USD from garmin website or an authorized garmin dealer near you.

You can buy an external GPS device which can communicate with your tube so that the GPS data is transmitted via bluetooth. Thats why its called bluetooth GPS. However, the tube itself has an integrated GPS, which you can only have access to when you purchase your Garmin XT. Meaning to say, Garmin XT can actually be used for free (if u already have an external bluetooth GPS device) but if you want to use the phone itself's GPS, you have to purchase Garmin XT for 99.90USD

Guys, i need help here.

I've been trying to install ShakeSMS from the FP, but i haven't been meeting any success in signing the sis file. I'm not very sure how this whole signing process works, so please go easy on me. I've been using SymbianSigned, but all of a sudden it doesn't work for me any more. Any pointers/tips for me on how to get that application installed?
