ask the lecturer.She/He is the only one who can say if you can go out early.Honestly you don't even need to be in class to learn the stuff they teach and as long as read notes and do assignments is ok but who knows your lecturer might be strict and won't let you might put that you skip class ^^" Ask first and if he/she doesn't allow go see your programme office or something and ask are there anythings that can be done about the clash. In fact you should do that first ^^"

Inform your lecturer. Some lecturers might now let you into class or put your attendance as zero if your more than 15 minutes late.Usually if lecturers give grace period 15 minutes is usually the norm.

In most Universities and Colleges that's the standard policy. You miss a lot of class, they will give you a warning letter about barring you and if your attendance falls below 80% in their system in most places you will definitely get barred from the final exam making you automatically fail the subject.

I've never appealed before so I don't know how it works but I suppose it's worth giving it a shot. Speak to your lecturer or course director and ask them to look into your assignments, tutorials and attendance... Fight for your 'life'.

i missed out on an extra grade point because of 1 mark, fuuuu
grade point more important than averge right?
is this uni life???

You talking about CGPA right? Yeah I know what you mean. HD and D big difference even though you get 79 and not 80.

As far as I know, Average (WAM) applies more to my faculty for Australia exchange & Honours award. Their criteria for everything is based on Average. No mention of CGPA. In fact, I rarely heard of CGPA being used around Monash.

@MaxRedevil : I'm sorry to hear that... back when NP policy was around we could do that. I suppose now more rigid. sad.gif

Would you prefer to have 4 hours straight of lecture? Lol, when they have 4 allocations like that, I guess the contact time p/w for that subject is 4 hours.

'ghost'? as in monash being haunted? as long as you don't have to stay til late night, you have nothing to worry about.

I've camped in Monash before and stayed til 11pm for studying with corridoor lights turned off. Seems alright..
