i transferred from sunway to the clayton campus for my second year, early this february (2009).

i'm currently doing bachelor of commerce (0179) and hence if you do require any information, help, clarification et cetera, please not hesitate to ask (either PM me or Ping! (ID name: nokia2003) if you are an iPhone or iPod touch user) and i will endeavor to clear your reservations. i'm also more than happy to answer non-academic questions.

my brother is too, residing in clayton (engineering) and should you have any questions with regard to that degree, i can direct them to him, for you.

i have been so bogged down with my internship, that i hardly ever got time to patronise LYN anymore  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

hope to see you guys in australia, the next academic year!  nod.gif  nod.gif  nod.gif

Awesome! Hope to meet you there.

I already went to the office and they were ok. I managed to did all the necessary stuffs, so in the time being, all i'm waiting is the confirmation.

EDIT:

Anyone doing a double degree? Particularly Engineering + Commerce?

Hi everyone!

I just discovered this forum today and I have a question to ask.

While we are waiting for our results to be released soon, I was just wondering what will happen since I know for certain that I have failed a subject as the marks has been sent to us in advanced sad.gif .

Because I have applied for a transfer to Monash Clayton, I have received a full offer for sem 1 2010. I am very worried now that the resultant of my fail will disallow me from transferring as I am REALLY looking forward to it. I am from the Faculty of IT..

I am praying for my fail grade to magically transform to a pass on the night of Dec 3rd (or morning of Dec 4th..).

Also, I have applied for on campus accomodation as well and I'd really appreciate some pointers on what I should be prepared for etc and more imortantly when will I know if I got a place!. Esp since I am looking at a repeat unit next year.. sad.gif

I know for a fact that Monash accepts students from TBF because I have a few friends from there.. but you may do better to ask them directly smile.gif

On whether it is better to take up a degree in monash or taylors, I think it would really depend on oneself. IMO however, Monash would be a better choice because it is a highly reputable uni by itself. Not that taylors is not..but I would say that Monash is more..international? But I think that taylors does offer several twinning courses with some unis like UniSa.

On the fee factor, it is definately more expensive in Monash - no arguments for that. In fact, in Malaysia, Monash is the most expensive uni in the country, seconded by Nottingham. smile.gif

Because i am taking business foundation next year.. i am going for a business degree i am afraid that i might not able to apply other uni just because i have taken the TBF..
If i wanna twin to USA is it possible because its not in the twinning list.
If its possible i wanna twin to USA. I dont take ADP because its a must to go to USA for 2 years.. And it will surely cost alot compared to a year in USA

Well, I'm pretty sure that if you keep your grades up - no matter which pre-U you take, you will be accepted (mostly) into any uni you want. Like I said, from my knowledge, Monash accepts students from TBF. However, I do not know if they have changed any of their rules because I am not from the School of Business. wink.gif

On the twinning to US unis matter - i'm afraid I can't help you much on that because I am not familiar with the course map of US unis as it is vastly different from UK/Aus unis. Again, you should seek guidance from counsellors in whichever uni/college you are going to.

All the best! biggrin.gif

Hello, are core subjects compulsory subjects such as business law and such?

Is my friend able to apply for NP for second year subjects which she is currently majoring in?

Thank you.

From what I know, core subjects are compulsory subjects.

Regarding NP grades, take a look at this.

http://www.buseco.monash.edu.au/student/exams/np-faq.html

Although this is from buesco, it should apply to most schools.

Yes, core subjects are the compulsory subjects. Thus no, no such thing as a NP for any subject at all that forms part of your major.

Seriously though, try to imagine an example like this... a graduate with a major in perhaps, Biz Law & Taxation, but got NP for a law paper. damn weird right?
