QUOTE(baoz @ Sep 9 2009, 10:16 PM) wow, so soon already? Anymore conspiracies like the previous years? but don't you think that the team names sound more like some sort of fruit cocktail drink? and speaking of musa, did they ever managed to get that website of theirs back online? QUOTE(da3xiah @ Aug 30 2009, 09:50 AM) 1) monash will ask you for your diploma units syllabus, in this case. they'll see if they can exempt you from any one or more subjects. but i had a case with a family friend's daughter who also came into monash for degree after her diploma. she had to start from year 1 like everyone else though because they didn't find her units syllabus up to their standard. so you see, it varies. for what unit(s) you get exempted from, you'll have to wait and see what monash says. Lets say the minimum req for engineering is 80 and i get 78.8, do u think i'll get any conditional offer(probation) from monash?2) yes, it is possible to transfer to clayton campus for third year. many of my classmates did that. however, the units required for malaysian and australian campuses to undertake can be quite different. so you'll have to check and see if in your second year here, you're required to take a different set of subjects from the others. some subjects may be a prerequisite to a unit down under, but not here in malaysia. if you're intending to change campus later on, be forewarned and be prepared. 3) the certs are the same. they don't write campus name there. as for academic transcripts, the format is the same, but i cant remember if they write the campus names there. as long as you meet the minimum requirement, monash will take you in. they're more business minded than quality conscious. but if you're under minimum requirement (but not too far away), most likely you'll be put on probation for 1 semester which you must score distinction average to continue. this was back in my time. i don't know what's the requirement now. but the probation thing is still on. Thanks. Added on September 11, 2009, 4:52 pm QUOTE(SeLrAhC @ Mar 21 2009, 10:47 PM) id like to hear more about why mechanical in Monash isnt good? lackin of machines? Thanks mate.. Question : If you only get partial exemptions from your credit transfer, will you get to do "short semesters" for those subjects which are not exempted?
It would really suck if I have to do one WHOLE semester just because I don't get full exemptions. =/ |

Dude, if you get partial exemptions means certain subjects you're exempted and certain subjects you're not.
You don't get partial exemptions for one unit... that'd be a lil bit stupid imo So... are u coming over? xD btw, i advise everyone to switch off their heaters and open the windows asap. coz its SMOKIN HOT IN MELBOURNE?! |
