try doenload something, if the speed still like that, man you are one lucky man...

my speedtest result was produced using a Umobile's IP Address and not Celcom's IP address and therefore Celcom din bocked the port.
Infact i din not even managed to complete a FULL speedtest using Celcom's default IP although i noticed my dialer register speed above 1MBps
btw, mine is a weekly unlimited subscribtion

i cannot torrent using this celcom weekly unlimited but when i switched back to my Umobile or Digi's Edge i was able to DL P2P movies and even watched live streaming via QVOD ( using Umobile via a ZTE USB modem ofcourse )

so P2P wannabe, FORGET this celcom weekly/daily unlimited.............. laugh.gif

CBP does have expiry date. Upon activation, you ll have 30days, after which comes the 90 days of grace period.

Hi guys.

I intend to get a CBP for use with my phone. The prob is my phone does not support 3g. Only edge. It should wrk without a problem right? And what is the speed for edge connection? Stable for weekly use?

Thanks.

claxxion,

yes, it should work with your phone. Stable? So far, it has been really stable for me (place of stay : Taman Maluri Office : Taman Templer). I can guarantee how it is going to turn out at your place.

Edge speed : Theoritically "EDGE is triple the speed of GPRS. HighSpeed Mobile Access powered by EDGE can be as fast as up to 384kbps," but in reality you wouldnt be able to get 384kbps. I used edge b4, and my speed was a constant 150-220kbps or 15KB/s

2nd point, you can maximize edge speed if your hp is an edge class of 32 rather than an edge class 0f 16 or 10.

For me, the minimum class i can bear is class 16.

yeah top up is as same as celcom 019, 5,10,30 and so on.

90 days grace period - Lets say your air time credit ends today, so you ve got 90days to top up before your sim card is cancelled. Validity? if top up rm5 = 5 days, then after 5 days, you have another 90days to top up b4 sim is cancelled.

ohhh, yeah with edge, u should get 15-27KB/s. average should be 15-20. Btw, when said using edge, i was referring to my time when using digi edge. hik hik.

I am currently on DG Broadband, Celcom Prepaid Broadband and occasionally using Celcom Advance. All i can say, at my place, all three are having great speed and stable connections.

Problem with wireless is that it is location dependent (base tower, congested with users and so on)

Maybe you can check your coverage area here though maps may not be the latest. At least, you can try. smile.gif
