Both were going uphill for the past few days. Surely both will be attacked hard by profit takers and those dealing within the "T" day.

Let's say if I buy 20Lot today, what'll happen on 31st? Want to get some Maybank, price seems a bit ok... hoping for a drop to 4.2x before going in Added on March 27, 2009, 10:44 amhow can I top up to get the new shares? to make it to 29 shares? like maybank 9 right shares for every 20 existing shares, issue price of 2.74/
does this mean if i got 20 lots - then I can buy another 9 lots at 2.74. OR I need 20 shares meaning 20x4.34 = RM80780!!!! then only can buy the rights? |

QUOTE(yeeeeko @ Mar 27 2009, 10:50 AM) like maybank 9 right shares for every 20 existing shares, issue price of 2.74/ It is the ratio, if you have 10 lot aka 1,000 shares, they will allocate 1,000 x 9/20 = 450 shares of right issue.does this mean if i got 20 lots - then I can buy another 9 lots at 2.74. OR I need 20 shares meaning 20x4.34 = RM80780!!!! then only can buy the rights? But since 50 share is not tradable, you can apply for excess (or extra unit) of 50 shares to make it 500 shares, but there is no certain you will get it, it depends on the market responde of the right issue, got extra give it to you, if not, then no. |

QUOTE(Grengo01 @ Mar 27 2009, 10:03 AM) i think it reflects the true sentiment of the market, investors are still on the cautious side though now a bit braver.is like a robber, if once he steal didnt kena tangkap during day time, he will try again and again and again until he get caught... and of course he gets braver... first time being pisau, than pistol than machine gun... until of course until he kena tembak mati by police ... than back to square one. Added on March 27, 2009, 11:11 am QUOTE(Grengo01 @ Mar 27 2009, 11:06 AM) yeah can buy odd lots from the market, by last time i remember forgot which counter think it was IOI... the odd lot difficult to sell and if u can sell also the price is slight below maket rate... if u want to buy slightly higher.only drive up ur avg cost and the only winner is the remisier. QUOTE(eltaria @ Mar 27 2009, 09:41 AM) If you can for a large enough fund, who really can stick together, you can manipulate the price to a certain extent To goreng (not manipulate as both is a bit different), you also need some skill and strategy to work it out, not that simple like got enough money will do.Our LY Stock group big enough? or just still small anchovies even with all our combined assets.. hehe Even you have large enough fund to do it, if your strategy is poor or technique to goreng is not good, you won't able to create the "excitement" out of it. In goreng, what you want is to lure other "ikan bilis" to join you to form a good goreng, by then it is very effective, your 10 dollar is as good as 10,000 dollar of buying force. That's why people want to spread some rumour around, to 'borrow' other forces/money to push up the price for them. If too mahfan, you can also opt to accept partial.ie accept 400 shares only and forego the 50 shares, but you will lose out the potential gain on the 50 shares. So better to accept and apply for excess. |
