Outpost cafe is a...cafe in Cineleisure mall. It's next to the Curve (which is across Ikano Power Centre) if you don't know where Cineleisure is.
I took this from Alan in the SFIV Tournament thread found here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/937715 Street Fighter 4 Outpost Mini Tournament: 1st Prize - 6 inch Ryu figure sponsored by Alan worth RM 150 limited edition, the very first Street Fighter Figure ever released by Capcom and CHEF Menu FREE Makan worth RM 37.90 2nd Prize - Makan FREE ( Chef Menu worth RM 37.90 ) Terms: As usual - Come order food RM 10.00 and above. - This is actually give the Cafe some business as we use their premises for FREE and usually for a whole day event, Outpost surcharge is minimum RM 60 per hour without food. But because of you guys, we get it FREE as long as we order food.... We start Training and warm up at lets say 1.00pm - Tourney starts at 3pm. We will do a League and TOP 8 ( depending of attendees ) goes for knock out stage ok? Sticks and Pads all welcome EXCEPT ANDREW !!! |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Jun 23 2009, 08:46 PM) I am having problems with the layout buttons of the TE. Was very used to 6 button layout back in SF2 & now there's 8 buttons ~_~ 6 buttons on the left = Japan arcade config6 buttons on the right = US arcade config Take your pick....but whichever one you choose, remember to map the other 2 buttons to "no action", so you can effectively ignore them. Do not ever map the spare buttons to FA or Grab. This is a very very bad thing to do as it cultivates a bad habit. In tourneys and such, no mapping whatsoever is allowed. Oh...how I wish I can attend the gathering this weekend. Too bad I'm only going back to Malaysia next weekend! I still would like to meet up with you guys one of these days. Anyway, has anyone played this guy called "lunartales"? A Thai guy with a pretty good offensive Boxer. Connection's pretty decent from TH to SG as well. I don't even know how this guy got my PSN. |

QUOTE(Star_Scream @ Jun 24 2009, 09:20 AM) Yeah..he's too good at harassing and verbally abusing others. QUOTE(lee_lnh) u still need the cables to charge You can charge it with any USB port....so you can even use your PC to charge the stick when you're not playing.QUOTE(lee_lnh) btw.. i plan to get a fightstick If you ask me, I say TE is better. But if you're really on a budget, then go for the HRAP3 with button mods. Stick is same, since both are Sanwa JLF. The base is similar...both also quite big and heavy. The main difference is the button layout. TE have Jap and US arcade button layout. HRAP3 got some strange button layout I've never seen before in arcades. So it's really up to you. Oh yeah, TE has a compartment to hide the cables...not like it really matters. HRAP3/Madcatz SE + Mod Sanwa/Seimitsu = 350+150 = 500++ or TE = 700 mebe wait longer can drop to 650 but still RM100+ difference.. so which 1 better? |

Well, SE is more mobile because it's lighter. However, by that same reasoning, the TE is better because it's heavier and more firm when you put it down to play.
Not sure about the button placement though, since I've never played with an actual SE...cause I thought it looked too light. And I've always been fine with HRAP3 buttons actually, and I personally don't see any difference between it and playing in arcade. Maybe I just don't notice. |

Maybe I just don't notice. Yes, the stick component in HRAP3 came from the same manufacturer (i.e. Sanwa) as the ones used on SF4 arcade machines. These particular sticks sure have a large throw though, that is you have to do a relatively larger wrist motion to execute, say a QCF. I'm comparing this to my dying Royds stick which feels better after long hours of playing due to the curved design of the palm rest. This post has been edited by pmg: Jun 24 2009, 11:49 AM |
