Hmmmm...wonder what new discoveries our scientist have to say after digging all the fossils in Ed's house.
Had a great geeky time at Ed's house.
Well-kept landscaping, 2 1/2-storey, with multiple rooms for Zoids - so relaxing after being in a smallish apartment and bumpy bus ride.
And also, he's a 6th-Dan Black Belt on the electric organ.
Does that answer the questions?
Okaylah. More Zoids, less house - is it?
Got to do live comparison between OJR, NJR and Bloody Deathsaurer: OJR really has a brighter red. The others more maroon. And the OJR caps weren't the bright green I was expecting. Due to aging, perhaps?
Also made comparison with OJR, NJR and Dark Wardick: OJR has a clearer, more translucent green visor/"eye".
All of them wag their tails when walking due to a mechanism. That's what I think, anyway. Too scared to disassemble to have a closer look. OJR, Boh!
Guylos Dark forces come with two-tones: gloss black and grey-black. I think modellers who sniff paint would be able to better describe the colours.
Interesting fact from Ed - they're not truly glow-in-the-dark so don't count on them to be your night-light.
Stormsworder required surgical planning to remove its batteries. Ed forgot how to open the battery pack and I wrongly thought it was a hinged access. The motor is connected to the battery pack by three-pin connectors. Possible candidate for remote-control modification. Or maybe the CP16 can already fit on it? Can someone test this theory out? We forgot to do that.
Rebirth Zoids with the new mini motors and battery packs are also possible candidates for remote-control. Two pin, reversible drive like the normal DC motors in electric RC cars. I did not open the motor housing at Ed's though. Once again - scared. NOT MINE, MAH! Respectlah sikit.
A little warning to all electricity maniacs - remove batteries from your Zoids if you're not playing with them for a long time.
I really worry about those RCZ models that comes with batteries pre-installed in its new motor pack. How long can you keep them MISB without battery leaks? The good news is that it comes with a plastic, insulating tab which has to be removed before it can function. I hope that helps in the long run.
@Electricians and Electrical Engineers:
+ve to -ve multiple stacked batteries, with the end of ONE of them insulated to prevent conducting current to motor contact - would they still leak over time?
The next BIG project TAKARATOMY should undertake after the Rebirth of OJR and NJR models is the addition of EVODRIVE Zoids mechanism into its bigger sized cousins. LED lighting and synchronised, timed movements in such a tiny, tiny package!
Compare the standard ZOIDS pilot size with its Evodrive version from this picture I found on Flickr:

@Edmaestro:
Thanks, Sir Edmaestro, for allowing a novice stranger to enter your sanctuary of Zoids madness. I am now truly insane with the poison.
p.s. how many Wardicks did you catch in the Semenyih waters?
