new features being found in the SDK kit again. possibly integrating the feature currently seen in the iPod Shuffle again.

Added on April 23, 2009, 12:03 amby the way, AT & T is currently (massively) upgrading their network to a faster mobile internet speed. i wonder why...

Great and I got conned by Maxis again

I guess Maxis iPhone 3G users such as myself wouldn't be that happy. Let's just wait and see on how it goes

I think they are going to do something like Shuffle , whereby you press and hold it says what's the current song and such tongue.gif That would be soo great
*
adui, now how on earth did maxis con you? given the fact that a (possibly) new model was concealed and kept secret. even the team dedicated to obtain the iPhone for maxis, team **** was clueless as well.

in response to your second statement - you have predicted correctly. speculations are certainly pointing towards direction; song title narration feature.

I guess I fell for the trap . Anyhow , that's why I kinda hate with apple products. For sure 2-3 months after I've bought a product, there would be a new and improved version of the product

Anyway , I think they'll be making use of the new headphones , which has remote (aka volume controls). It would be easier for us to control the volume by using the volume keys in the new headphones rather then pressing it in the unit itself
*
well if it is any consolation to you, my MBP's upgraded specifications came out, within 7 days of my purchase. no point crying over split milk i reckon

anyway, it could also justify the fact that the new apple earphones' volume control feature will not work on the iPhone tentatively

well, i haf one question. wat are d chances of maxis releasin d new iphone simultaneously with AT&T? i doubt it wil be immediate. if ur gonna depend on parallel imports, be prepared to be slaughtered. so in d end, we MIGHT not be gettin the new iphone in june. n if judgin by maxis's iphone, we might be gettin it afta sept. so its not all doom n gloom for new iphone users. Tech waits for no man, but if u keep followin it blindly, u might get one massive hole in ur wallet. wat i say is just enjoy d moment n if u like d new iphone, sell ur current one n buy d new one. fullstop.
*
IMHO, maxis would wanna wait for the quarterly forecast of their iPhone 3G sales, before committing themselves to another 100,000 units.

out of the topic, but FYI, australia has sold (so far) 700,000 of iPhone 3G since it was being launched here and if you read local OZ forums, it is very common to hear nowadays that it is difficult to secure an iPhone.

@Nokia,

It's 150,000 units before Apple agrees to sign you up as their telco partner. Safe to say they get shipments in that size should the current stockpile has been exhausted.

oh my bad. i must have heard it wrongly from a friend then

I wonder how the reaction is, of the current Maxis iPhone owners if they are locked out of upgrading to the new iPhone this July, and Maxis only opens subscription of the new iPhone to new subscribers only.

Probably would rival the Bersih Rally in terms of "passion" and "aggressiveness"! laugh.gif

P/s: Anybody playing the "Labyrinth" game? Seems like some are playing them here already. Careful on that tip-toeing. wink.gif
*
you bet your arse that will happen. gauging from the reactions from the public when maxis introduced the so-called extortionate monthly tariff, i would say the next step will definitely be more mind-blasting (quote from russell peters).

previously we have already seen users, opening threads, "rallying" malaysians to boycott maxis (like that helped at all?). it is just a shame that i'm not in malaysia to personally witness this phenomenon.

the american apple store now enables direct shipping to customers; marking the first time that it has ever done for the iPhone 3G.

this move fuels further speculation that apple is desperate to get rid off remaining inventory for the upcoming...

it should be around the original price, seeing how palm has priced its latest range at USD199.

this scenario doesn't just apply to maxis. all staffs on a corporation are typically entitled to some sort of perks.

New iPhone will be great however like most people here I'm not convinced maxis will bring it in July.
If they do, good for us!

frankly speaking, if i'm allowed to make a prediction here.

the problem doesn't lie with whether maxis is bringing in a new generation iPhone or not.

it is whether current existing subscribing maxis customers will create a massive havoc for this apparent "scam" that they have been duped into.

Optus is the first Australian carrier to announce its intentions for the iPhone 3G S: it'll be ready to go on June 26.

*
you bet! i'm currently on the BYO (bring your own) plan i.e. not a contract, but not a prepaid either.

cannot wait to "commit" myself. LOL biggrin.gif

my SingTel warranty hasn't expire yet, so i reckon that it can still fetch a decent price.

taken out of the whirlpool forum, where this bloke, nickster12345 who currently lives in the uk has made some price comparison.

02 UK has released their pricing for their iPhone 3GS.
QUOTE
I live in the UK and have the 3G iPhone here on the o2 network.

o2 have released their prices for the 3GS.

On the 18 month contract I signed for with the 16GB 3G, the phone cost £149.

The 16GB 3GS phone is £185 on the same plan for 18 months.

So it's about 20% more expensive for the handset (but no difference in the plan).

The 32GB 3GS is £275.

So it's about 90% more expensive for the handset -v- the 16GB 3G.

So as a general rule I guess you can assume that the handset price in Australia will probably be about 20% more than the 16GB 3G for the 16GB 3GS. And probably about 90% more for the 32GB 3GS. Other than that, the plans may well stay the same, just the initial cost/ongoing monthly phone repayment cost will increase.
