Once the jailbreak tool out and with 3.0 OS installed on my iPhone 2G, will I able to use all the features on my iPhone 2G ?

yes you will be able to use all the features expect for the mms which is said that cannot be use on 2G because of hardware limitation..

I received a SMS from Maxis saying that us Maxis iPhone user will receive a CD for the OS3.0. Now, do I wait for that CD to arrive or do I download the 3.0 from the Apple website?

we here only download from itunes for our Fw installation. and i dont think it will do u any harm also, but non the less, if u feel insecure about downloading from itunes, u can wait for maxis to give u the CD....

Hope they include apps like blacklist from cydia in OS3.0, but not possible rite?

Another concern is once on 0S3.0...will those apps that we purchased earlier on our 2.2.1 OS be able to run & compatible with the new OS3.0

yes, all the app that we purchase will be compatible( usually they update the app for OS3) for OS3. i have heard somewhere if the creator of the app cannot make it compatible with the OS3 they app will be delete from apple server.

Yes, they're compatible and I believe there's an update for all the apps. Recently I've updated a few apps which it wrote there "tested on OS3.0".

I guess we should just stick with iTunes and wait. Maybe for those who don't have internet access (I doubt so) or have the necessary bandwidth or can't wait cause download is slow can wait for the CD. Who knows maybe the CD will have extra stuff.

Before update just remember to sync one last time on iTunes so it can update the backups and to allow any new apps/games installed to be backup to your PC. When the 3.0 update is available, everything would be like a full restore. And the backup will be seamlessly applied back to the iPhone once updated. As for apps/games compatibility, shouldn't be much of a problem. Apps store will have updated apps if there's anything wrong.

cant blame him man....everybody is anxious refreshing dev team blog every 1 minute eventhough i know aint nothing gonna be there now

haha....Every Iphone User is too anxious for OS3. Worry that the server will be loaded to d/l on 18 June. Apple.com/my has updated that the real time of d/l for MY is on 18 June.
