QUOTE(niuchin @ Mar 24 2009, 05:35 AM)
The sooner the injured Rafael  and suspended Vidic is back the better MU defence is.
IMO Neville and Scholes should be retired out to pasture. Am I out of line here?
Reasons are obvious these former ENGLAND INTERNATIONALS  are past their prime and MU first team squad DESERVES  BETTER. Only exception will be Giggs a player whom I admired tremendously and still rated a 1st. team member.

I believe Scholes should be particularly singled out, especially  for the loss to Fulham for the following reason.

He is a CHEAT and a 'backstabber'
Against Zenit (Euro Supercup) he was caught and redcarded doing 'hand of God' and true to character he was redcarded in the last game. As a Professional (not amateur) player you are conditioned not to handballed deliberately unless you want to cheat. Because of these incidents I believed he is a CHEAT. Regarding 'BACKSTABBING' his MO when he loses the ball to an opponent he will BACKTRACKED and clipped or foul from the BACK deliberately out of SPITE. He gets away a number of times, without being yellow carded, on English soil.
Now our jingoistic sports commentators, referees to a cetain extent. and fans alike just  called his actions CHEEKY.
My analysis of the last game is that Scholes 'sabotaged' and lost the game for MU. Without him (case in point  FA cup 4-0 win against Fulham) MU will have won the last game.  Could his benching at that time  affected him subsequently?

Its OK if  you disagree with me about Scholes.  He should be retired like Gunnar Solkjaeer managing the reserves.
The reason I brought this out is that I believe MU fans deserve better CRITIQUE for their recent loss. If he was a DIABY or EBOUE he would have got a hair dryer treatment.

i don't label him like you, he might lost his form due to his age, but i appreciate his effort in our team, can't blame him much of that red card, is normal reaction from human instinct
seriously if he retired, i'm worry we might not find any midfielder like his level

what in my mind is, i don't hope any bad things happen on opponent team, i just wish that the REAL DEVIL comes back, and become the unbeatable devil that they were.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel has had the red card he received in Sunday's defeat at Liverpool rescinded by the Football Association on Tuesday.

If Scholes could tackle, he'd be too perfect. That'd be cheating.

Amen! Scholesy has and will always be my favourite player of all time notworthy.gif ..Definitely agree with the quote above smile.gif

Hmm,anyone noticed that although we played really badly these past 2 games, VDS has had to be in top form to save us from further "embarrassment"? Not enough credit goes to our goalie i say blush.gif

Well at least nobody can say the FA's on our side now. When we win it's always cos we had help or we were lucky with some decisions. We get so much stick cos ill-informed ppl will go 'oh the referee's on their side' etc etc. Well yeah that's the reason we got a deluge of red cards and Friedel had his recinded.

Now let's just hope that Martin Laursen will not recover in time to play against us. He has been very solid for them and Villa missed him badly ever since his injury.

Zat Knightmare is nowhere near Laursen's quality as CB  laugh.gif

agreed.. they should not let olof melberg go before.. heh

not only Martin Laursen.. i also hope Martin O'Neill will not 'recover' too.. thumbup.gif

if pool got 5 past Friedel, surely we could get 1 past him @ our very own yard? is the defence that are worrying at the moment. Evans seems unsure last weekend against Fulham, and was totally raped by Zamora, and plus if JOS is playing again at RB, i'm not sure how he'll stack up against the speedy AYoung sweat.gif

Boro res 0 United res 1

March 24, 2009

QUOTE
OLE Gunnar Solskjaer’s young reserves produced an impressive and mature display to claim three well deserved points at the Riverside.

Ross Turnbull, Justin Hoyte, Afonso Alves and Julio Arca were all in Middlesbrough's starting line-up, but United’s youngsters were unfazed.

Magnus Eikrem put the Reds in front, in the 14th minute, with a cracking free-kick after Lee Martin’s progress had been halted on the edge of the Boro area.

Boro made frequent visits into Ben Amos’s territory and went closest to finding the target in the 31st minute when Hoyte’s angled drive struck the bar.

The attacking pattern off the game continued after the break, but United always looked capable of hanging on to their slender lead.

UNITED: Amos, Eckersley, Fabio, C Evans (Wootton 90), De Laet, James, Eikrem (Stewart 72), Possebon, Macheda, Martin (Norwood 82), Brady.

Five reasons why the title is Liverpool's and five reasons why Manchester United could blow it

FIVE REASONS WHY TITLE IS LIVERPOOL'S

*
Ugh, I'm kinda sick of reports that Liverpool will win the tittle, cos everytime Liverpool wins in a row or won by a large goal margin everyone says Liverpool will win, similiar to Manchester United during their clean sheet period and last season Arsenal's top form in the starting of the season. Just because some team is winning everytime and won by huge goal margins doesnt mean their gonna win the tittle.

So I guess its kinda stupid speculating and summarizing whos the winner and I'm not emphazising on you ParasitAmol, I'm talking about reports from ESPN or wherever, because anything could happen in football. Touch wood, Torres and Gerrard could break a leg or Ronaldo could die in his Ferrari by speeding again.

isn't it better that way coz high profile usually spells more pressures. they can go high profile but i won't give a damn. experience told us we are better in copin w/ pressures than them. leave those unexpected things alone shall we... sweat.gif

I apologize, I'll add the "touch wood" sentence before the curse, so It doesnt sound like one.

But experience told me Liverpool won the Champions League against Italian giants AC Milan even they were 3-0 down, now that's preassure and they coped with it. I always respect that moment. Anyhow, let's keep the quintuple dream alive.
