very disappointed with the general united fans though, nobody sang anything! I'm not loud enough, and the Liverpool side was totally drowning us

The only upside for me was meeting David May. Crap, I wanted to leave early cos the liverpool fans were getting out of control, singing and taunting the United fans.

QUOTE(madmoz @ Mar 16 2009, 05:32 PM) Me! Me! I met him too b4! The season right after you guys won the epl where he featured quite often. The season where he kinda dropped off the radar. Was my first few weeks at Manchester, and he was one of the first players I met in flesh and blood so was a bit unreal... It was around 1AM in a small casino in Manchester town centre. He was real friendly, omfg, and he held my waist! And he really is quite hot for an old guy, Phil Babb is too. Would have asked for their autograph if I had a marker pen with me. Not for my bristol born ang mo friend though, he shouted "Bloody hell Mr May, now we know why you aren't playing anymore!" Btw just for information's sake, David May predicted 2-0 and Phil Babb a stalemate, 1-1. I was very specific, and asked them who they'd think would score, but for the life of me I can't remember their answers. I think I jinxed it when I asked that |

Okay I watched back the video and Phil Babb predicted Gerrard and Rooney to score.
Apadom why need proof? If I say so, it means so |

And I think Gary and Rafael might be returning this week?Foster JOS - Rio - Evans - Evra CR - Giggs - Scholes - Nani Berbatov - Rooney Carrick needs a rest to recharge. I will only use Fletcher in BIG games. |

Heard there are even plans to implement a Euro League (or some sort) which would ultimately result in the demise of the EPL.
And cheers too blinky. |

QUOTE(alien2003 @ Mar 20 2009, 07:59 PM) By playing at home first, I guess we will have to be less tactical in the approach? Even if second leg's at home, we need to start putting away the chances. We always make it hard for ourselves by relying too much on the second leg. Pressure kawkaw for the fans, I always have nightmares or something the night before the second leg. Time to amend that, and have some kind of advantage going into the second leg now.No more play safe away then settle at home eh? |

No player should be assessed on just one match, and certainly not someone like Scholes.

Well at least nobody can say the FA's on our side now. When we win it's always cos we had help or we were lucky with some decisions. We get so much stick cos ill-informed ppl will go 'oh the referee's on their side' etc etc. Well yeah that's the reason we got a deluge of red cards and Friedel had his recinded.

QUOTE(scofield @ Mar 26 2009, 05:56 PM) Potential Man United Kits (Home & Away) 2009-2010 The new home jersey will have the V neck, but it's in black. I wouldn't trust the source of your pictures tbh. The away I can't say for sure, but we're still sticking with AIG for at least one more season aren't we.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « SOS PS IIANW the home jersey is going to be round neck too, not with collars as per your picture. QUOTE(Golden @ Mar 27 2009, 04:45 PM) I don't know. maybe Alan Curbishley will do well if given sufficient resources. He almost got no money at Charlton. I think he is a great tactician... Um other than Charlton breaking Chelsea's winning run with a 1-1 draw IIRC, I didn't really notice anything much about them, or Curbishley. With a whole list of renowned world class coaches, do we really want to risk it on Curbishley who's never really been tested on the European scene? |

QUOTE(Golden @ Mar 27 2009, 04:58 PM) If SAF or Jose Mourinho had to manage Charlton one day... cant see them winning anything at Charlton... Small club coaches have to stand out on their own too. You can't expect to be given the opportunity to coach a big club if you don't stand out. Let me put it this way, Martin O'Neill or Alan Curbishley? David Moyes or Curbishley? Harry Redknapp (brought Portsmouth up from the brink of death) or Curbishley? You cant simply rate a manager based on the numbers of trophy...Its almost impossible for a small club to win trophy nowadays... I still think Alan Curbishley should be given a chance at bigger club... or I can put it this way. We take risks with whichever coach we plan to install, but who would you rather see at the helm of United, Frank Rijkaard or Alan Curbishley? Sure, Rijkaard might flop like Scolari, but his chances (in the newspaper at least, speaking metaphorically) would be better than Alan Curbishley, no? I'd rather have an established coach or someone who can relate to the club passionately than someone like Alan Curbishley. |
