How about a Dell Precision workstation notebook with a Quadro FX card that is geared more towards AutoCAD and the like. Another option would be Lenovo workstations, though I don't know where they can be obtained.

12" and price of 1.5k below...Netbook will do you good...any brand will do, the differences would be the design and other stuff like warranty etc...other spec are merely the same nod.gif...

Just install the Netbook version of Ubuntu and you are clear to go nod.gif

Some of the choices:

1. Asus EEEPC
2. Acer Aspire One
3. Dell Mini
4. HP Mini
5. Toshiba NB200
6. Lenovo S10

12" laptops tend to be expensive imho...

besides, in recent years the trend is either 11" netbook or 13" laptop/CULV...

hi its me again....
b4 tat i dunno wat i want 4 my laptop...so i think now this post more easy 2 all recommend a laptop for me....

Brand:any recommendation?? as long as not those expensive brand 1s...
Price: New bugdet ->around RM1k-2.3k
Specs: buit in webcam, can burn cd/dvd(optical disc), connect wireless+Wi-Fi(internet), can play those online games or facebook games/application...normal basic home user
Size: i think 14'....some ppl recommend me 13' Dell but if i not mistake Dell no opitical disc on tat size....others i havent check...

my purpose of using laptop= i use it for my assignment/studies, entertainment, connecting with friends & family, download musics and movies....i will bring it anywhere i go...so whenever any places got Wi-Fi so i can connect to internet....

i think tats all....now i'm still check out the laptop prices+specs....

pretty much any notebook will do, just pick the one with better after sales service on your area smile.gif

Guys, need help here ..
Going to get a laptop ..
Here is the info.

1. Brand = At least not Acer
2. Budget = Strictly RM2k - RM2.5k
3. Specs = Good enough graphic to play DotA smoothly; and maybe Fifa
4. Size = Anything bigger than 13" should be fine
