OMNIA II 8GB already released in Singapore on Friday, 18th of July '09.

I'm waiting for the 16GB, but Samsung refused to give any informations regarding when and where it will be avaliable. I'm starting to get pissed with Samsung and am now considering HTC's Firestone.

Thank you, for the confirmation. I guess Hard Reset is the only way to go. Now got to find a day where I can squeeze some free time to do all the set-up.

Did you installed M2D with various skins before? Everytime you applied a new skin, it'll drop some files into your \Windows. Of course, some will be over-written, but some will not. Maybe some other applications do the same too, I don't know.

Try cleanRAM. This is actually used to clean the RAM (Program) part, but no harm trying. Your RAM is normal as an Official Firmware though.

The best way is to make a Hard-Reset. This let you start with a clean ROM, or you may want to try the Leaked DXID1.

I just unisntall ms facebook and that give me about 1.4m of free space in storage and i know it will be gone in about 1 week or so.

hi.i plan to get an OMNIA. some questions to be clarified.
1.can i backup the msg in .txt or other format like my current symbian phone do?
2.how long does it takes to get the GPS signal? 5minutes?more then 10 minutes? i mean without A-GPS.
3.can i turn off the camera snapping sound?

Yes, you can backup with Activesync to Outlook or the included MITs wizard software.

Depands on your firmware.
First time starts GPS will be a little longer.
Under a clear blue sky will be faster.
Mine took about 2 seconds from the last location and about 3 minutes if from a different location.

Yes, but since you're new, I don't recommend registry tweak.

Go to page 1 post #4 and click on A lots of useful tips for ur Omnia. On the new page, click on the subject How, What & Where and then Mute Camera & Video shutter sound.

Omnia was my first pda phone too.
Personally, I like it very much, it is very nice. Better than HTC Diamond. Only Samsung Singapore's Customer Service sucks.
