those who are using garmin, mayb u guys can solve my misery:

whenever i toggled into garmin mode, i lost my battery status on the top utility bar, meaning i do not now how much does my batt left, this is ridiculously dumb cos i might risking to lost the gps guidance when the batt runs flat.

what should i do to view my batt? some hacking utilities or other skin/theme will do? upgarde firmware?
or flashing WM6.5rom ftw?

ok i noticed this happened not only when i called up garmin...
i only get the batt to show up in "home" screen, whenever i i go into menu, or any application, the batt will be missing.
also i cant see the batt status bar when i was charging, it only shows a charging sign, so i do not know if the charging is complete or not.

whats the difference with the samsung omnia models with 8gb or 16gb on the top left of the phone and the ones without?

i guess this is ur first winmobile phone. fyi this is a trait for ALL winmo phones. go get a free program named batti. it will show the batt status no matter which menu u are in. hope that helps. and buy a car charger so u can keep the phone charged while using gps.

u'll know charging is complete when your on/off button on top of your phone is showing green light..
i'm very sure u're a Winmo 1st timer..haha

yea im new to WM, i was a palm & symbian UIQ user before this.
i still remembered that my 1st pda-phone device was an A6188 & 1st palm was plamIIIxe, both took me some while to get used to, but WM6 is miles away behind from them if talk about ergonomics

isit just me or every1 get the same problem where the back of omnia gets really hot when i run gps for >15mins? its so hot that my palm hurts when holding it =.="

it's normal that it will get hot..
omnia so thin,of coz u'll feel the heat...same goes to other htc products with gps function..
if u use older pda like htc p3600, u won't feel the heat since it's so thick!haha

u use gps while walking yamato? i place my omnia right above the aircond vents in my car so it would get extra cooling

I just unisntall ms facebook and that give me about 1.4m of free space in storage and i know it will be gone in about 1 week or so.

Any ideas guys? I'm looking at hard reset as the last resort.

nop, i use it whilst driving.
usually i place it at dashboard since lack of cradle... but it slips whenever i take a sharp corner thus i hav to manually recorrect the position. thats y i got contact to it very often.

the aircond vent idea is brilliant!
but the omnia screen is hardly visible under direct sunlight, the glare is soooooo bad. that is also the reason i hide it in the dashboard wer it gets shaded. lol

i think i mess up with my i900 after flashing, the phone still can on but it cannot upgrade the OS since it said incorrect software version. can any expert here can solve this problem. thank
previously when power on the phone it will go straight to normal start up, now i got the icon off (PHONE ! Computer) what had i did wrong?

With your installations, I don't see that they will occupy too much ROM.
Did you have any other files, like document saved from MSoffice, Photos taken from Camera or Call Recordings, in your Main Memory?
Can you check, with your File Explorer, in \My Documents\(sub Folders)?

I'm wondering, how did you get the SBP MS3 installed in "My Storage"?
When I installed it last time, I did not get a choice for where to install. It just goes into the Main Memory.

Thank Omnian, pass the phone to my fren since here more expert in mobile window.

i place mine not in front of the ac vent.. but instead above it. then i push the vent until it shoot air straight up.

why this config? 1. get cool air from ac (not my idea) 2. it is a bit higher so it get shaded a bit.

and nope i'm not using those vent type holder. instead i use the suction one that sticks onto the window that's how i got mine to be a bit higher.. actually just below my line of sight.. so not too much effort to jeling jeling once in a while

u just pon on dashboard? someday it wont just move.. but drop right down under the seat.. ehehhe better get a holder la
