Bought this phone and using for few days, like the phone but the main problem is sms. how to set full view during typing message, any ideal?
What do you mean?

Now your SMS does not show in full screen?
Normally, it should occupy the whole screen and the bottom half will be cover by your on-screen keyboard.

Thanx for the Xtra guide, consistently got a lock under 2 minutes yesterday, and I just notice the expiry date.

back to my storage question. Now I start getting notification of low storage memory. Dunno what to delete already, even uninstalling programs only increase the program memory with little increase in storage memory.

I tried using memaid to clear out temps etc. At most can get 1 Mb but it does not show increase in memory storyage sad.gif

Have been googling and searching various forums, try doable solutions. no success yet. I'[m on latest official ROM DXIA5/DZIA5.

Look at verious ROM too, but I've set up my phone as I like it and very reluctant to redo again.

Hello. I've long been a Symbian Nokia user. Been poisoned by the Omnia i900 just recently. Not the newest around but attractive to me. Seems that many users have complaints about stability and sudden restarts of the device.

Would just like to confirm if the newer firmware solves this problem? Most likely I would not be a GPS user so any problems with Garmin wouldn't bug me. Feedback is much appreciated icon_rolleyes.gif

Never had the "sudden restarts problem before". This type of problems usually occur with incompatible 3rd party softwares, just like Windows running on your PC.

Only one previous firmware had a battery issue, other than that, all the newer firmwares are just great.

Yea I think I get what you mean. I have a Axim x51v running on WM5. Not really a finger friendly interface. Just afraid that I might regret replacing my symbian device with the omnia. Also how is the music playback quality through its 3.5mm jack in comparison to other phones?

Haha. ICic. Well I will be using the omnia as my primary music device if I were to get it. At the moment my Nokia N82 decently performs in terms of audio quality. Hoping that the Omnia fares better rolleyes.gif

What files did you backup?
Did you backup with the provided MIT before?
Did you ever synchronized with Outlook or Outlook Express before?
Did you ever copy any files/contents from your device's root directory before?

Thanks for the reply Omnian.. Firstly, files I backup are only those pictures and songs.. Secondly, I didnt do backup with the provided MIT before.. For the third qns, I seriously think that I cant retrieve my contacts back sigh, I didnt sync my phone with Outlook or Express before.. Lastly, what I've done to my phone is only transfer pics and songs over, so I think this did ans your 4th qns..

Then, I think there's no way of retrieving back your contacts.

What I was looking for is your "pim.vol", which reside in the root of your device. If you have that, we can get back all of your contacts.

Other methods are either you copy back your contacts from your sim card (if you have them there) or if you have the contacts in another phone.

My advice is to backup your "pim.vol" to your PC, SD Card or somewhere else, once in a while.
It can be found in your device's root directory.
