Thanks, man. Re: the first GI Joe vs TF, is it reprinted anywhere at all?
What about the Image/DD series? Now that IDW's taken over the publishing rights, is the former publisher's series still available in its entirety in TPB form?

For the record, I enjoyed the cool looking TF vs GI Joe minis produced by Dreamwave a few years ago.The first one had jaw-dropping artwork by the ever awesome Jae Lee (who, by the way, came to M'sia sometime in the 90s and I even had a photo taken with him and a sketch drawn and autographed by him). IIRC, I think they didn't finish the second mini-series.

the first Joe vs TF was reprinted in TP format by Marvel,i think back in late 80s.i have both the 4 separate issues and the TP..got them quite cheap many years ago.you have to try your luck on this one.but if you want the digital scans of the 4 issues,i can upload them.

i think there are 4 volumes of the newer series...i agree Volume 1 is freakin awesome for the art of both Joe and TF.
by volume 4,the art truly deteriorated.
also ,do you remember TF vs GI Joe ..the setting was in World War 2.artwork sucks but the story is unique.

wow,you get to have a photo with Jae..that's awesome.

Yup sadly, the second Dreamwave Joe/Transformers miniseries only got out the first issue before Dreamwave collapsed

dzirhan: I think, so far, only the America's Elite is by far, the most enjoyable for me but you'll be missing out a lot of stuff happening in the previous storylines. There's also "G.I.Joes - Cobra", a short mini-series, starring Chuckles, inflitrating into a terrorist organization (Cobra hasn't made their name yet). Its fun to see how vast the Crimson Guard army is, how Cobra work their way to conquering third world countries and such.

starwarsilike: Nice review as always smile.gif , i always love your camera shots on your reviews

jstbid: Cobra Gunship is really worth the money to buy. Despite the small packaging box, once you snap in the tail fin, the gunship is pretty big. It could store up to 3 figures (including the pilot), and can hold 3 more figures underneath the gunship on its handle bars. I haven't had the oppurtunity to get the Nigh Raven yet, despite my pay came out, i'm still contemplating if i should get it due to its pricing and...the size of it. Doubt i have extra space for it alone.

the problem is ,after attaching the tail fin,its hard to detach. i tried to yank it out but gave up as i'm concerned something will break..it takes up too much space...damn.
now need to find lubang to squeeze those vehicles..else no space for RHINO.

Same as Night Raven, it has auto lock after you snap the cockpit into the body, and it can't be yanked out.

I wouldn't risk it.

I actually took the Cobra Gunship and Night Raven apart after snapping it together. You need something hard and thin to slide at the edges. Like maybe a ruler. I was using a 12" ruler. Try it at your own risk. Dun blame me if you really break something. biggrin.gif

Got my Cover Girl from a departmental today smile.gif. There were other figures like Sgt Stone (x2), Deep Six (x2). Ice Viper (x2) and PP SS (x1). As usual the PP SEs were elusive.

I wonder if Toywizard let person order certain amount of GI Joe figures and vehicles ?

That's what I am thinking if I decided to move back to my home town.

Yeap. To my surprise I was also able to get Storm Shadow (wave 1) from there too. Actually never realized the Metrojaya there had a toy section.

Hi all Joes (and Cobras) here,

Been trolling here for some time and wishing I still had my old ones intact..

I've spent the last 3 days scouring the city looking for 2 figures (extremely small chance of finding them nowadays but I had to try) and would like to ask here for help. I am looking for these two:

1) Hall of Heroes Snake Eyes with Timber
2) Hall of Heroes Storm Shadow

If anyone knows where I can find them or direct me to where they are available, I'd greatly appreciate the help (E-bay is my second last option while a shop here would be my very last option. Wouldn't sell separately but in set and I only need these two). notworthy.gif

Thanks in advance everyone. I'd show my current figures but they're all from the RoC lines and I just collect the cool looking ones. Not into troop building sweat.gif
