Hi guys...I hav this problem....I'm using digi prepaid, I notice everytime I on the map, I can notice a red dot showing my position, and I am charged a gps charges of ranging fr. 10 cts to 50 cts, eventhough I dun use the gps, I only look at the map....I hav to go 'option' , 'tool' to turn position off, but by then I was already charged for at least 10 cts, and after I exit and reenter nokia map, the same thing happen again..

just quit all application before u lock ur phone and turn the light to the lower level, close the auto research WLAN and also bluetooth ~it may help some~

go to messaging > Appls > Locations > Positioning > Positioning Method change to always ASK. or Disable. I uninstall nokia maps immediately i got my tube and install win garmin. hassle free till today

Added on March 19, 2009, 10:35 amheavy usage all day WIFI, SMS, EMAIL , GAMING , MUSIC i mean force all it can including usage of GPS last me from morning until night i reach home.

If seldom play can last 2 to 3 days

the problem is no wifi no what so ever application running... oni sms.... and the battery drain like mad... one day full bar tmr wake up drop 2 bar...

Yes it work thanks a lot....just check my bill...was charged sooooo many 10 cts for the past month without me knowing....

I am a heavy caller. At maximum also it will last me 2 days only and this is all with calls and sms only. No other applications. During the weekends, then usually it will last 3 days from Friday night to Monday. And all my settings for the light sensors to the touch vibrate and tones are set to the max.

Free? No other extra charges? Until now i still not so sure how to install garmin~and have fail for few time~noob~

I set her hp everything low... the light low, no vibrate when pressing, ring tone also not max.... wifi close, set GSM instant of dual mode... no image slide theme... still drain...

you have to download your nokia map using maploader and transfer it to your phone, or else it will download as you go just like google map.

i saw a guy selling black 5800 original set out there, is it released by Nokia malaysia alredy ?

yeah, garmin brought me to some wall before , twice in fact ... however, i don't blame garmin cuz i believe its due to error in maps. So to get out of that wall, normally i just change the routing preferences from faster time to shorter distance or vice versa, works most of the time.

despite the wall drive , i'm still happy with garmin cuz without it, i would be so lost when i go JB. Now, I can go most places when i'm JB without others assistance. NICE !!!

Ya I did that, I notice it doesn't jammed up so frequently as compare to when I use garmin map, that's y I still keep nokia map, do you guy face the same problem when using garmin ? it got jammed when turn the phone vertical n horizontal too frequently, or zoom n unzoom too fast ?

I think everybody experiences that, Garmin over-eating your HP memory and getting stuck in the process...
