I think i roughly find out what's wrong with Rose's bad breath ... might be because of her teeth ... i can see black black thingy on most of her teeth and her teeth isn't white ... will send her to check this weekend if i got time. sigh ... bought her some tablets to chew that meant for her dental care but she refused to take it.

This case is almost similar to Bebe's 1. Bebe has bad breath which smells like a dead fish / something dead. His teeth are yellowish at some part. I consulted a vet about his condition. They say the bad smell is due to the food that got stuck in the teeth. After a long period of time it will cause bad breath and also yellowish teeth. He recommend me to bring Bebe for scaling (cleaning the teeth) but normally vet will inject some like anesthetic them to make them sleep/pengsan a while then after the procedure is done he will be ok. But i heard that the injection is not good for our furkids, the vets personally told me, and advice me to find other vet of groomers who knows how to do it and does not need to inject Bebe. So i found another vet in Puchong who will use the gas type before doing the procedure. The vet also say that if it is not a serious case its better not to do the procedure if the vet use the injection type. I am still thinking of whether wanting to bring Bebe there for the scaling. hahaha i hope my experience can help you in someway. biggrin.gif

Errm...best not to do that, as there are many other dogs around. Your pup might be susceptible there. It's always best to keep your pup in a controlled environment (ie your home) until they are fully vaccinated before exposing them slowly. smile.gif

Yes, sometimes bad breath is caused by spoiled / rotten teeth...same like us, if our teeth had holes in it, we tend to get some bad breath. *
Yeah... Psyko881208, I totally agree with u.. rclxms.gif . My babies will be much comfortable and feel great in the schnauzer cut rclxm9.gif .. I tot I'm the weird person here sad.gif ..since everyone here like horse cut so much... In fact, I couldn't accept the horse cut, although is just a hair style only but I feel like a torture. We dont really noe our furkids feeling, did he really like the way we cut him? Have we consider about their feeling? I love my furkid as my own baby, I dont want him to be a clown in front everyone, I dont want to be selfish because I like the special hair style so I cut it. I just want him to be as simple as everyone as long as he is comfort and happy as he is. rolleyes.gif

I bring him to the pet shop for grooming lo, then that pet shop boss look at my MS and ask me what breed is this dog then I told her, this is Miniature Schnauzer lo..Then, she said..omg..why MS got tail like that one, y dont u crop the tail, u noe he look like a mongrel with the tail...Then, all the customer also look at my MS and said he will look low standard with the tail and even no value...

But I dont care what they said lo..I still keep it..because the tail is belong to him, y should I take it away...

Wow....suddenly got debate about cropping ears and tails and the horsecut style. hahaha its ok la....whoever likes it can do it. whoever dont then dont do it lo...hahha dont have to be so sensitive in this matter. By the way after Kenji got the cut he is more much active compared to before the horsecut. So my gf and i assume that he loves it as much as we do. hahaha by the way we dont think that he is a clown / look like a clown. we also do understand that our furkids have feelings and actually quite a lot of ppl like this horsecut style too when they saw Kenji hahaha they think he is very yeng, cool and leng chai. Maybe after you try it you might like it. Daphne dun always think about the negative side, sometimes think about the positive side about these matters then sooner or later you can get to accept it and you will understand why ppl wan to crop the ears n tails and also give them a horsecut. Yes, you may wan to be different. Like Fatty, she is a good example of having her own looks that suit her personality. So chill, hahahha its just a matter of style and how ppl perceive it. Sry if i offended any1. biggrin.gif

Added on April 16, 2009, 11:51 amdaphne i think you better change to another grooming place. tht boss of the 1 tht you went to also got a big prob. saying tht your MS looks like a mongrel. O.o he/she really has a big prob. maybe you should tell him/her that you love it and its your furkid's personality.

LOL! It's good to have a debate every once in a while...smile.gif And by debate,I mean the ones that people just state their opinions, and not trying to offend anybody. Like the one we just had about the 'horse' style and cropping ears / docked tails. smile.gif

Me personally, I had the option to crop Scottie's ears when I first got him (was told that we can safely crop a pup's ears up till the pup is 4 months old), but after thinking long and hard about it, I decided not to. Long story of my decision, but ultimately I chose not to, and am quite pleased that I didn't. smile.gif I don't think Scottie would look like Scottie if I cropped his ears...laugh.gif Still, there are quite a few doggies that I think look great with cropped ears (eg: Kenji smile.gif ), so I guess to each his/her own...smile.gif

'Horse' look...I agree with Aragon that it's up to each person's personal taste. smile.gif I can't really see Scottie with that look though...haha! To me, the 'horse' look should be for like a strong personality dog, and Scottie is too gentle to carry it off...laugh.gif

I think better if can bring her for scaling. When you go and spay her, can do one shot. Coz scaling need to use anesthetic.
