LOL! Actually Schnauzers' fur won't turn lighter in color if we hand strip them like in the confirmation shows. That was supposed to be the way their coats should be, but it's quite a long and tedious process, and not many people know how to do it in Malaysia (the ones that do are too expensive) hence we turn to clippers. Because we clip their coats (ie send to groomers where they shave with the electric clippers), it will cause the color to turn lighter in color.

Using clippers their coats, it going getting light color and soft coat.

Yup...hand stripped coats are harsher and a bit wiry in texture. I read that they last longer compared to clipped coats, meaning that after stripping once, it can last for about 3-4 months...compared to once a month grooming with clippers, it's quite good. Wish it was cheaper to do it here though, and I KIND OF like Scottie's coat soft...haha!

I hv a shih tzu which will b 4 years old by next month.. n planning to getting a schnauzer to accompany her.. due to my shih tzu, it seldom bark n we adi get used to tat so i m looking for a "silent" dog.. at least wont simply bark..

Any advice/comment?

IMHO...there are no 'silent' dogs, unless you get the Basenji (which isn't really a dog that doesn't make noises) or you de-bark the dog (which is very cruel). Most dogs will bark if there are strangers coming to the house and stuff like that. Training also can help in reducing unnecessary barking... If you mean that you're looking for a very 'kwai' kind of dog, my guess would be to look into the temperament of the pup that you're getting. Still, I think that it comes down to a bit of luck and a bit of training...don't think this is an advice or what, but just my opinion on it.

Wow, I just realize if we send the pet for grooming and the color will get lighter by shaving... ..But Murphy color is a bit darker.. I prefer him in the darker color...

Actually, I pity to see Kenji's hair cut like tat. He is so cute and he have very beautiful color. But the "PUNK LOOK" reduce his charming mark already.... He look like a horse than a schnauzer...so pity...

Maybe only my personal thinking..I dont noe about u guy but I cant accept it lo...if my pet become like tat ... "weird" "weird" look...
